Re: Best DBZ Fan Media
Besides the obvious Dragon Ball abridged which is a masterpiece of its own, I'd say that the Dragon Ball+Sonic fanfic (Dragon Ball: chaos crossover it's called) from youtube is also fairly good if you like both universes (I liked a lot how they mixed Kid Goku's sagas with arcs from the Sonic videogames).
There's also Dragon Ball multiverse , which is a more serious effort in trying to succeed Dragon Ball Z but written as if it was Dragon Ball GT or a bad movie from the Toei so besides some cool fights I don't like it a lot and I don't think its a good Dragon Ball product (but since most fanfics are written like that, it's still one of the best).
Now, expanding a bit more the topic to other kinds of media, I'd recommend you my explanation of the cell saga time paradox which is presented as if it was a story (well, once I start explaining it, there's 20-25 minutes of explanations on how time-traveling works in Dragon Ball and other subjects before the paradox explanation itself begins).
The video is in my mother-tongue but there're handcrafted english and spanish subtitles ^_^

Re: Best DBZ Fan Media
This might be biased, cos I've been reading it since I was a kid more than a decade ago, but I think Dragon Ball Multiverse, despite all of its faults, is one of the best fan media out there. Shout out to YoungJiji's AF too!
