The Art of Monster Creation

Dragon Ball Daima showed to us that creating monsters is an art that can be learned and practiced. Marba is a master of said art as seen with her creations such as Majin Buu, Kuu, and Duu. Dr. Arinsu herself is also a practitioner of this art although not to the same level of skill as Marba seeing as the Majin she supposedly created could not even match up to her level of power.

What I find interesting is that this art is not limited to the Demon Realm nor even to just magic users. Let us take for example, Dr. Gero. Cell could indeed be considered another variation of this monster creation art. Similarly to how Marba and Arinsu used various parts to create a composite creature like the Kuu and Duu brothers (Majin Buu + Saibaman + Arinsu DNA), Gero was also able to do the same when he constructed Cell by compositing the DNA of various beings. This is seen in other parts of the franchise as well with Wheelo and his Bio-Warriors, Hedo and Cell Max, the Tuffles and Bebi.

It is a detail that I noticed is common in this franchise. It is rather reminiscent of stuff like Dragon Quest Monsters, Shin Megami Tensei, or even Yu-Gi-Oh!, fusing smaller monsters/parts into one big powerful monster. I wonder if it is a similar deal with the Namekians and Eternal Dragons?
