DRAGON BALL Z1988-1990: Dragon Ball arrives in Hong Kong on TVB Jade's "Dinosaurs Sunday Buffet" programming block on February 21, 1988 with Cantonese dub. Hiatus in March 1989 but continued with episode 55 on September 11, 1989 on "Flash Fax" block. Unlike first airing Japanese OP was replaced with Cantonese song The Faraway Place (飄渺的遠方). Episodes were cut down to 15 mins. Final episode aired September 6, 1990. All 153 episodes were aired.
1995-1997: Dragon Ball arrives in Taiwan on CTV (中視). Reruns on TTV (台視) and GTV (八大電視) dubbed in Mandarin. All 153 episodes aired.
1998-2000: Dragon Ball arrives in China on local channels dubbed in Mandarin by Liaoyi. Episodes 1-78 aired in 1998 and episodes 79-153 were aired between 1999 and 2000. This dub was based on the Japanese version and used Japanese OPs and EDs. Translation units were "Jinshi Film and Television Production Co, Ltd" and "Hongri Film and Television Production Co, Ltd".
2011-2012: Dragon Ball returns to Hong Kong on J2 starting October 8, 2011 with new Cantonese dub.
DRAGON BALL GT1991-1996: Dragon Ball Z arrives in Hong Kong on TVB Jade October 6, 1991 in Cantonese. 1 min per episode was cut. The series was cut at episode 148 on March 7, 1993 due to complaints about violence. Reruns of these episodes took place between July 12, 1993 and September 23, 1993 and from September 28,1993-September 25, 1994 it returned with episodes 149-205 and finally episodes 205-291 from June 8, 1996-June 21, 1997. Episodes 149-205 were rerun from July 5, 1995-September 8, 1995 and episodes 205-291 were rerun from April 7, 1998-June 6, 1998. Taiwan also aired 291 episodes of DBZ but it never aired in mainland China.
1997-2002: Dragon Ball Z arrives in Taiwan August 3, 1997 on Chinese Satellite Channel (衛視中文台) and ended on August 11, 2002. There was 2 dubs, 1 of episodes 1-157 for VCD and another dub of episodes 27-291 for TV.
DRAGON BALL KAI1998-1999: Dragon Ball GT arrives in Hong Kong via VCD release from Aiko with first Cantonese dub. Dragon Ball GT came to Taiwan April 8, 1998 on Satellite TV Chinese Channel, China Television Company and on TVB Jade in Hong Kong with second Cantonese dub on July 15, 1998. TVB Jade broadcast ended on August 30, 1999.
DRAGON BALL SUPER2011-2012: Dragon Ball Kai arrives in Taiwan on January 1, 2011 until December 22, 2012 dubbed in Mandarin. It was broadcast on Taiwan Television, Dongsen Movie Channel, Satellite TV Movie Channel twice (February 9, 2015-April 11, 2015 and December 14, 2015-February 26, 2016), People's TV and Elda Comprehensive Channel.
2012-2014: Dragon Ball Kai arrives in Hong Kong dubbed in Cantonese May 28, 2012 ending on April 14, 2014 on J2.
2015-2022: Dragon Ball Kai Final Chapters arrives in Taiwan on Republic TV Wireless (民視無線台) from June 22-September 24, 2015 and again from September 25-December 31, 2015. First 98 episodes of Dragon Ball Kai rerun on STAR Chinese Movies (衛視電影台) February 9-April 11, 2015. Dragon Ball Kai Final Chapters rerun on the same channel October 27-December 14 2015 and on Satellite TV Movie Channel December 14, 2015-February 26, 2016. Dragon Ball Kai The Final Chapters began airing on Dongsen Movies April 18, 2022.
DRAGON BALL MOVIES2016-2018: Dragon Ball Super arrives in Taiwan July 1, 2016 on Formosa TV (民間全民電視公司). Series took a break at episode 52 on September 14, 2016 but continued from episode 53 on October 28, 2017. All 131 episodes were dubbed Mandarin and aired by August 11, 2018.
2018-2020: Dragon Ball Super arrives in Hong Kong on ViuTV subtitled and aired from July 1, 2016. Cantonese dub aired May 28, 2021. This dub was based on the Japanese version.
2022: Dongsen Film began broadcasting Dragon Ball Super in Taiwan May 8, 2022.
1991-1993: Satellite TV Chinese Channel entrusted the first 3 Dragon Ball movies to ATV after Li Juan transferred from Taiwan to Hong Kong in 1991 and in mid-1992 there was tension between ATV and TVB Jade dubbing manpower. DB movies 1-2 get Cantonese dub on TVB Jade June 8, 1991 and July 6, 1991. The first movie just aired under the name "Dragon Ball". Movie 1 re-aired on March 14, 1993, movie 2 re-aired on March 21, 1993 and movie 3 aired on March 28, 1993, all on TVB Jade.
1994-1997: Dragon Ball movies arrive in Singapore on February 9 and 10, 1994, and two more on October 1 and broadcast them on MediaCorp Channel 8 but it is not sure what movies they were. Shanghai Audiovisual Publishing also released a Mandarin dub of DBZ movies 1-6 on VHS in 1994 through a Hong Kong agent for mainland China. The mainland Mandarin dub of DBZ movies 1-6 was therefore based on the Cantonese dub. At some point the remaining Dragon Ball movies were translated by TVB Jade in Hong Kong and possibly aired. DBZ movies 1-8 and 9-10 were distributed by Victor Video and Edko Films on VCD respectively and dubbed in Cantonese. At some point Jutong Culture dubbed all 13 DBZ movies in Mandarin for Taiwan.
2009: Dragon Ball: Evolution gets a theatrical (March 14, 2009) in Taiwan.
2013: Dragon Ball Z Battle of Gods (七龍珠Z劇場版：神與神) arrived in Hong Kong on August 15, 2013 and Taiwanese theatres on October 25, 2013.
2014-2015: Battle of Gods arrives in Taiwan July 13, 2014 on Eastern Forest Movie Channel (東森電影台). Resurrection "F" (七龍珠Z 復活的「F」) came to theatres on May 1, 2015, aired later on Eastern Forest Movie Channel and came to Hong Kong on May 21, 2015.
2019-2022: DBS Broly arrives in Taiwan in theatres on February 22, 2019, Hong Kong on February 28, 2019 and TV on Satellite TV Movie Channel. DBS Super Hero arrived in Taiwanese theatres on September 8, 2022 and Hong Kong on September 29, 2022.
