Post by TheSSUltimateGoku » Sat Oct 03, 2026 2:44 am

I think Dragon Ball Daima was really cool and I think maybe that they could do a season 2 maybe of what happen to Gohan and Videl while a hero are fighting the demon realm? Would be really cool like how think turn out would like to see some more of it.

For a "Daima season 2" to happen, they would need to be willing to continue telling new stories in the brand without Toriyama, something that is clearly not happening because it's currently pretty much the same situation as the DBS manga, it stopped right after he passed away (only released a one-shot chapter later) because they still can't decide if they want to continue the story without Toriyama, with someone else in the lead (Toyotaro) and I believe the same thing goes for the anime.
So just like the manga, don't expect for a Daima continuation anytime soon, at least not before the 2030's, because their focus now is going to adapting the remaining manga story arcs that had Toriyama's involvement starting from Moro (i know Toyotaro is the one who made this arc's story, but it still got the approval from Toriyama and his supervision regardless, meaning it's technically still part of the "Toriyama era") and readapting the previous stories with his involvement (Super Beerus)

I would say that actually you should expect the manga to return first as there's nothing in its way other than Shueisha not allowing Toyotaro to continue with it.
The animation part is more complicated because there are already Super Beerus and Super The Galactic Patrol in the way, and Toei themselves will already be busy with more One Piece anime and two movies until 2029. That's why a Daima continuation would be more likely a project for the next decade

To add to what angeldreamZ004 said, Daima itself wasn't exactly the mega hit they thought it would be, so even if they decide to tell more stories, I believe Daima will be left alone as its own standalone project.

But that could show what Gohan and Videl where doing during the time there where fight in the demon realm I think it could work.

In where? In in the US it was doing very well. Did it now do well in Japan?

It didn't generate much interest, be it leading up to its release, during the time it aired, or after. Compare that to Super and the difference is night and day, despite Super being off the air for 8 years and the manga going into its 3rd year of hiatus.
