They were only released in Hong Kong:
https://www.lddb.com/laserdisc/57672/LA ... GT:-vol.-1
The transfer is absolutely phenomenal with amazing video and audio that are leaps and bounds above the current DVD releases.
I guess they weren't using the crappy tape masters that the Blue Water dub and every release of the Gokuu Jr special use? Curious to see how they looked, and how exactly they compare to Funimation's singles and the Dragon Box. Seed of Might's remaster is definitely the best way to watch GT, though, so I guess there's no need.
(
I see one member on this forum owns one of Aiko's LDs for GT)
(Speaking of the Gokuu Jr special,
there's a listing for Aiko Animation's Video CD release of it on Ebay. Video CDs were known to have
shoddy quality, so I guess the Gokuu Jr special was no different, but it'd be nice to see how exactly it looked. For archival purposes, anyway. There are also listings for Aiko's other GT VCDs. Surprisingly, I can't find any listings for their GT LDs)
Also, shouldn't the home video section here list the Japanese LDs (and VHSes) for the movies?

Interesting GT got LaserDisc release back then (only in Hong Kong), where none of the TV series hasn't got home video release in Japan (movie only) back then.

The current "Home Video Guide" here on
Kanzenshuu grew out of what was originally just a "DVD Guide" on
Daizenshuu EX covering the North American market, and a respective "DVD Guide" on
Kanzentai covering just the Japanese market. That grew forward over time going into Blu-ray releases, but hasn't yet gone
backward to cover the VHS and Laserdisc releases. It's certainly planned (both for the main site and the wiki), but it's the usual issue of:
So what do we work on? The home video guide? Translations? News posts? Code updates? Fighting bots? New FAQs? New rumor guide entries? Etc. etc. etc.? It's a monster of our own making, but back-porting VHS and LD releases isn't the highest priority, but certainly remains on The List™.

Before Seed of Might remastered the series, a lot of people thought GT was darker and less colorful than DBZ. This was due to the aged film master degrading the colors; Toei didn't bother fixing it for the Dragon Box, which Funimation used as the basis for their DVD singles. A lot of people still think this about GT, actually, and even Dokkan Battle stupidly uses the degraded colors for some of their GT content.
Seed of Might did a great job remastering GT, but I sometimes still wonder if the colors should be brighter (I think SoM is gonna release a better version of their remaster soon, though). Would really like to see how Aiko's LDs looked.

I've never seen the LaserDics, but I had the entire series on VCD, and I might still have them in storage somewhere, but I doubt I kept them after getting the Dragon Box DVDs. The video quality was around the same as VHS, I remember thinking it looked really good at the time. If you want to know what the colors looked like, try searching for episodes or clips of Super5's Dragon Ball GT fansub, they were made with these VCDs.
Edit: It looks like someone uploaded the opening from an Aiko Dragon Ball GT VCD on YouTube

Well hell looks like the same FUNi single/Dragon Boxes dark red color cast and green skies.

The VCDs, sure. But no footage from the LaserDiscs has been posted online.
