Wouldnt it be easier for them just to use the Japanese covers?

That's something I've wondered for a while, especially when you consider that we sometimes get the original covers here in the UK (eg. BT, BT2, Super DBZ and Shin Budokai)

Perhaps they want to create their own covers to appeal to the American market (although there was nothing wrong with the originals).

The Japanese artwork is so nice though. But not $50+ nice.

I guess the same reason why "Welcome to the Grand Tour" was brought to this world..ugh..I don't know, sometimes the Japanese cover art is too cluttered and sometimes the American cover art is made to look like a wrestling game IMO. Don't judge a game by its cover, blah blah.

You can call me Rick because I'm not actually Piccolo.
I missed out on all of the DB Movie fun, huh?
Point blank: it's gonna suck if you want it to. Personally, I'm seeing it as a comedy.

Good point Mr. Piccolo! A good majority of US DBZ fans are wrestling fans! Thus hence, some of the covers.

I think, that Atari realized.. at some point.. that their covers sucked, (Releasing Budokai 3 : Greatest Hits in the original cover) thought that they could give it another go (Tenkaichi 2 cover, failed), now go for something more Japanese looking (Harukanaru Densetsu cover).

I personally think the Atari cover looks better than the Japanese one in that case

But.. the Shin Budokai : Another Road cover looks very.. Atari-an. :?

Then again, we haven't seen the Japanese cover so I dunno what it was originally.

Concerning why they change the covers.. I think it's because they want it to feel like it's their own product.

And there I shall stand.
