Favorite English openings

Post by Super Sonic » Tue Feb 13, 2007 12:21 am

Out of curiosity, what would you guys say were your favorite English opening themes, if any? For me, mine were "Rock the Dragon" and the Funimation version of "Mystical Adventure".

No, not really, I actually hate it... a lot...

(And yes, I actually save smilies in my Photobucket Image)

I hate the lyrics of the GT rap, but i do like the beat......don't know why........

I like the intro that they use for the DBZ movies, it's pretty catchy.

I like both the opening and closing of the original Dragonball series. It's basically the japanese version of the song except in English.

I too like the opening for the DBZ movies. They have that one as the opening for the "remastered" set now.

LSSJ4 did necropost there, but whatever. I'll just reply anyway.

My favourite dub-opening is, without a doubt, the Dragonball Redub intro. They should have just used english versions of the japanese openings in Z and GT too. That's one of the reasons why I think Dragonball got the best dub out of the three series. (Though the script was still too inaccurate.)

I wouldn't call it a necropost really. It hasn't been that long, plus the Music Forum isn't used as much, so things already go slower. 8)

Thanks. ^^ Rob(Xyex) found it for me actually. He knows I'm a huge TemariXShikamaru fan(it'll happen, you'll see!) Plus the abuse of Sasuke was a great bonus. >.> XP

Anyway, to stay on topic, I like the old crazy DB theme song from the mid-nineties Ocean dub. It was just campy fun and catchy in that "so goofy it's good" way. XD

FUNimation's English version of Makafushigi Adventure, easily.

It's the closest to the Japanese song, but yet manages to sound like it's own song.

My 2nd favorite would be Rock the Dragon, because when you're like 11-12 years old just getting into DBZ, that intro really does get you excited.

Rock The Dragon was classic. For GT, I admired how Ocean tried to have an English version of the Japanese intro, despite how crappy it turned out. Stil a stinkload better than FUNi's rap GT, though.
