Toy Fair 2007!

Post by Namek'jin Ryu » Tue Feb 13, 2007 12:54 pm

After scanning this place for a thread, besides the American DBZ figures one, I decided to create one for the Jakks DBZGT Toy Fair 2007. Below are pictures of the figures set to come out this year...

Trunks & King Cold (2-Pack)
Goku & Burter (2-Pack)
Nappa & Vegeta (2-Pack)
Jeice
Super Saiyan Vegeta, Super Saiyan Gohan, Super Saiyan Goku, Android #16, Kakorot, Super Saiyan Trunks (2-inch figures)
Super Saiyan 3 Goku, Vegeta in Saiyan Armor, Frieza (1st Form)

DragonBall Z Single Packs
DragonBall Z 2-Packs

I don't know about anybody else, but I think my collection won't be growing very fast anymore. There are only a few figures here that I will be picking up, but maybe for some of you, there are more.

Discuss!

Were Any of the other there? I want to see what the Chibi Piccolo action figure that comes out in August looks like, but they don't have a picture on their website of it yet.

I think I'll only be getting the Nappa and Vegeta (cause itz the gr33n), and maybe the regular colored Saiyan Saga Vegeta.

But some figures in the "DBZ Singles Packs" and "DBZ 2 Packs" I haven't seen before, and actually look pretty cool, like the SSJ Vegetto, SSJ Trunks without the jacket, Ultimate Gohan, Mecha Frieza, and the SSJ Gohan and SSJ Saiyaman.

If anyone has links to buy those or better pics of those figures I listed, that would be very helpful. :D

Eh.. I've never really had an interest for the dragonball figures, mainly because the sculpting is never or nearly that accurate. A good majority of them are all distorted etc. :(

It's nice to see Raditz in there, but the faces on most of these figures look so off.
On hiatus.

Same here. The faces may be off when comparing to the series, but c'mon... it's green! I'll bet the only reason they put Nappa in there is because nobody would buy him by himself (which is usually how two toy packs work; a sucky figure and a nice one).

Other than that, I probably won't be hunting for anything else. Oh, how I long for the days when US DBZ figures actually looked like the characters,

Also, is there any news about those Shenron and Porunga figures? I remember hearing about them a long time back, but never saw them (or at least the Prounga one, which I wanted more).

In general, I can never find any DBZ figures around here anymore and am forced to search online, which I try to avoid. Oh well...

Well... that's the nice thing about these figures, they'll be all over the Wal-Marts and such.

Which is good, because I'm tired of seeing those black and white Ultimate Figure toys.

Welp, looks like I'll be making an unexpected trip to Toys R Us tonight. :P

But seriously, some of those figures actually look kinda nice. They aren't too big, but they're bigger than the usual ones. Freeza, Piccolo, and Vegetto catch my attention particularly.

I really like the Vegeta Saiyan suit one. But since when did Frieza get "revenge"? The (literally  ) last time he tried to get revenge, he got pwned by a man with a supposedly 5 power level(According to Funi  ).

Sorry if I'm a bit off-topic here, but does anyone(from America) remember the DBZ Burger King toys? I had the SSJ Goku one, and I am slapping myself in the head because I lost it.(Unless it isn't worth anything, then I'm fine with it!)

From what I know, they're not worth much, but I'm sure people have sold them online for ridiculous amounts. They were pretty cool, though. And FYI, Burger King released another set of toys when Movie 9 came out... they weren't as good, though.

I own all six (or was it seven...I did collect them all) of the BK toys and the VHS tape you get when you mail in the certificate.

As for JAKKS' figures...no thank you. Ugly, ugly stuff there. I'm fine with what Bandai is offering.

Those movies 9 figures must not have been that good, because I've never heard of them, and I know my BK toys..sorta...

What VHS did you get when you mailed in the certificate?

Awesome! I'll keep that in mind when I order something like that from them.

Btw, does anyone know a GOOD source to get DBZ figures? One that has any kind of figure you can imagine, but won't take your money and screw you over. And also has reasonable prices lol.

I don't know where to buy them, but here are some pictures. These are previous releases of those figures, and I don't know if they're identical to those Toy Fair ones.

Toys R Us has a small selection of them at fair prices. They don't have photos for most of them though, so make sure you're getting what you're looking for. Or maybe you could visit an actual, physical Toys R Us location.

Yeah I'm not sure these burger king toys are that great I mean they came in a two pack with power puff girls toys. So I truly don't understand how their worth more than a few cents each.

I had no idea that Jakks was still even making DB figures. :P

I must say though, I do like those off colored Nappa and Vegeta.

Shenlong, Black Star Shenlong, and Porunga were indeed released; I have all three (Shenlong came with Chibi Gohan, Black Star Shenlong with Chibi Gokuu GT-style, Porunga as a movie figure (!) release) I believe all three are still available at the Z Store.

There were prototype pics of Oozaru, Golden Oozaru, and Golden Shenlong, however, a few years ago, and no further information to my knowledge has surfaced on them.
Battle High 2, starring Kyle Hebert as well as myself, has been released on Xbox 360, OUYA, PC, Linux, Mac, and Xbox One!
