Question about last fight with Kid Buu

Why didnt they teleport Gohan to fight Kid Buu after he was made alive again? I never understood that (he would have finished him in 20 seconds)

Because Goku has to be the one to save the day obviously...

Which is a piss off as the whole series was building up Gohan.

The Kai's thought that Goku & Vegeta were going to use the earings and fuse into Vegeta to defeat Kid Buu, therefore they didn't see the need to teleport Gohan there.

When the earings were smashed Kaioshin teleported himself, the old Kai & Dende away to safety. He saw the way these people fought on Earth and knew that they would fight by themselves as soon as the earings were gone, like Humpski said though Goku was the hero and it was for him to finish the series, but if they were really incredibly desperate or if one of them died, I'm guessing then Gohan would get his shot.

Goku thought that was Vegeta's intention at first when they revived everyone, but then Vegeta wanted the entire Earth to defend itself...so, for the sake of a much more epic conclusion, the Genki-dama occured. Anti-climactic would have been Gohan and/or Gotenks showing up and decimating the little guy.

thank you all. But now that I think about it, I remember them saying on Namek that they had used too much ki to teleport and that was why they could not go back and get Gohan/Gotenks to finish Kid Buu.

At least Gohan played a fairly important role at the end, the amount of energy he alone contributed to Goku's Genki-dama had to be at least half its energy, if not more. Then there's after the battle with Kid Buu, he got to settle down and become the scholar his 4 year old self told Bulma was his life's dream, as the series seemed to somewhat be building to his slow growing and character development. He had a sweet daughter named Pan, got screwed over in GT, and lived happily ever after with a sexy wife.

Kaibitoshin saying he didn't have any energy to teleprot dende to heal is a pretty stupid line.

I mean couldn't dende heal kaibitoshin and then he could teleport people?

Its sort of like why didn't they just use the eagles to fly the ring to mordor question.

Gohan would've surely took care of Buu, easily. But, the thing I wanted to see more than anything else was the fusion of father and son (Goku & Gohan). Then the super duper ultra mega ultimate warrior would've been born.

yeah the saga was really about Goku and Vegeta's relationship at the end. It is the main climax to dragon ball z in many ways as the last main problem unsolved.

Because Gohan wasn`t strong enough , thus Goku`s statement about bringing both Gohan and Gotenks to help them fight against him , suggesting that individually they can`t beat him .

Vegeta wanted the earth to defend for itself because there was practically no other option , because if they brought Gohan and Gotenks they probably wouldn`t be able to beat him , and further more if he absorbed them all would be over . If Gohan & Gotenks would have come the fight would be more or less like Perfect Cell vs Goku (Gohan being Goku and Kid Buu being Cell) while the fight between Gotenks and Kid Buu would be more like Super Buu w/Gotenks vs Gohan lol

Crazy as Goku thought it was, Vegeta wanted the earth to save itself for once. There would be more than enough chi to gather, assuming they had everyone's cooperation, although Vegeta admittedly did not forsee Goku's inability to force it down/set it off in his weakened state. Goku got the gist of it, and went along with it.
