Dragonball Z Trailer using Season One video

Post by JAPPO » Thu Mar 15, 2007 6:19 am

So I made a trailer using the digitally remastered widescreen footage (or, season one), and it really is just for the anime, mainly the Vegeta and Goku fight. At the start, I wanted it to be a Live Action Movie trailer (hence the "you waited" lines), but those usually suck.

Anyway, this isn't an AMV so I didn't think it should have been in that section.

Comments welcome (which is why I started a topic). I plan to make a better trailer soon, so this is just practise.

DOWNLOAD (NOT FROM YOUTUBE! YAY!)

Right-click and "save as" usually works the best as this is a medium-sized file.

Not bad. Not bad a'tall.

If anything, I guess the widescreen footage would be good for making trailers, huh? I might make something out of it soon, myself.

It would look better if you just took the Dragon Box footage and cropped it, then you'd have the correct colors, but I understand that the Dragon Boxes are expensive, so I doubt I'll ever see an AMV using it.

Thanks, I'm ripping more video from the DVD so I should have a better trailer sometime. The song I used (by Bruce Faulconer) was actually a lot longer than that.

Agreed. Plus, the print damage at the beginning when Vegeta fires his beam and later when Gohan fires his Masenko was a little distracting. That's no fault of JAPPO's though.

Plus the "You've waited...and waited...and waited....now it's here!...coming soon" seemed kinda...contradictory? ;p

Very trailer-ish, though.

OK, here's my new and improved trailer.

Actually, before you expect a new trailer, you should know almost nothing has been changed in the first part, but about 30-40 seconds of extra footage at the end has been added. Thus, this would be the "theatrical" trailer and the previous would be teaser. Whatever.

In the second part, you can see (hear) some big changes in the audio mixing, which I think sets the mood for "overload." Lol.

I could have worked on it more, yes, but who cares.

Download (right-click, whatever).
