"The upper world"?

Discussion, generally of an in-universe nature, regarding any aspect of the franchise (including movies, spin-offs, etc.) such as: techniques, character relationships, internal back-history, its universe, and more.

"The upper world"?

Post by tainted saiyan » Fri Apr 13, 2007 10:03 pm

In DBZ volume 2, after Goku is killed by Raditz, he comes before Enma. Enma says that Goku has performed enough "meritorious" acts that he could fly straight into the upper world. This establishes that the check-in center is in fact a purgatory of sorts. So my question is, is the golden place +hat Piccolo was sent to after he died during GT, this "upper world"?

They called "heaven" ("tengoku") "the upper world"? Seriously? ^^;

As for your question, I haven't seen "Dragon Ball GT", but I believe the supporting characters that were killed by Boo ended up in heaven (along with Darbura) toward the end of "Dragon Ball Z".
