Strange dub consistencies

Post by DaemonCorps » Wed Jun 06, 2007 9:30 pm

Watching some of the dubbed episodes, I noticed some things that the dub writers continue to bring up/have a certain character say. The two I'm talking about in particular are Babidi's constant alliterations ("kill the Kai," "beat the Buu...") and Chi-Chi and Gohan's constant use of the term "pop" ("I'm so happy, I could pop," "Slow down or you'll pop...").

They may not be accurate when comparing it to the original Japanese script, but I find them interesting, especially since the whole "pop" thing was first said by Gohan (as far as I know) and is later used by Chi-Chi when FUNi got to dubbing the later part of DB. So, what are your guys' opinions on these dub consistencies (for lack of a better term) and what other ones have you noticed?
