FUNi has messed up...again!

I got my season 2 box set yesterday, and realised something. They've named 2 episodes the same. From the season 1 set, they've titled episode 39 - 'Friends or Foes?', and now with season 2 they've also titled episode 41 - 'Friends or Foes?'. How can they be so careless? Do they not have someone to check so things like this don't happen? What the hell FUNi!?

... Two identicle episode titles? Darn, that's the sorta thing you'd normally have some counter measure against, isn't it? I mean, check that another episode doesn't already have the title and stuff.

(And I thought it was bad when 4Kids used the titles "Showdown at the Poké-corral!" and "Showdown at the Oak-corral!" for two different episodes set on Ookido-hakase's ranch. :P)

No, the point of this is that the the episodes have 2 VERY THE SAME titles. :P

Well, it wouldn't be the first time. They called two DB episodes, 85 and 134, "Preliminary Peril."

Though in this case, DBZ 41 is really supposed to be called "Look Out Below," but I guess they screwed up in the season set somehow.

It's incredible how careless they're getting.

Oh well. Just more reasons not to watch the dub, IMHO.

It simply goes to show how little they care about how the release is being treated. Very, very little about this release is done correctly or with any genuine consideration and yet they're making bucketloads of money.

So naturally, some people aren't too happy about it. But then we have apologists coming in to try and 'dissuade' them.

Well it speaks good fortunes for the quality control over at FUNimation. Sooner or later they'll end posting the same episode twice on the discs and I'll be there to say, so freakin' what?! :P

Because it's confusing and inconsistent. What if someone was keeping track of episodes based on the names?

If they're going by name instead of number like... just about everyone else... then I feel sorry for them because FUNi isn't making it any easier.

There's a lot that they don't halfass. That's why I'm still amazed that FUNi can treat Dragonball the way it does while giving other shows some damng good treatment.

It's not the first time they've given episode titles out without checking first: one of the redubbed season 1 episodes, "Sacrifice", has the same title as one of the Cell saga episodes.

But, damn, two episodes apart, that's really amazing (granted, they're on different "seasons", so unless you're going through from one season to the next it might not be noticable). Sure, they may have just been boring filler episodes, but someone should be paying attention to this stuff (besides, you know, the fans :P)
