Why Dragon ball
I've seen at least one or two episodes of all the countries dub, why is dragon ball the only one that even funimation gets the original music, is it because it's cheaper than getting all the rights to Z and GT or is it because its the first part of the dragon ball series that it has to be shown in original format.

I've always thought it was because DB isn't as popular as DBZ or DBGT. Because Z and GT were really popular, Funi decided give them different treatment. They get their music changed among others things so that Funi can make more money with future releases and do what they think is making the show appeal more to kids. They didn't really care about DB and probably just wanted to get it out of the way, so they gave it a good dub with the original music and gave it a near-perfect release. Because they originally released Z and GT with changed music, they can later release new sets with the original music on the dub. I don't know if I'm right but it's always what I've thought.
Well,Dragon Ball Z certainly is more popular then Dragon Ball, and Dragon Ball GT at that. But Dragon Ball is much more popular that Dragon Ball GT,which was cut short in Japan due to low ratings.
FUNimation really started dubbing Dragon Ball Z before Dragon Ball, because their first Dragon Ball airing didn't bring in the ratings they were hoping for.And remember, when they started dubbing the show that was over ten years ago, anime was often given bad treatment and horendous editing back then.
Soundtrack changes occured almost 100 % of the time with dubs.FUNimation disrespectfully replaced the 0riginal Soundtrack with their own.I dunno... And they never felt they had a need to give a dub with the original music afterwards...
I guess they thought the 0riginal Soundtrack fit Dragon Ball, which had less action. But they felt their music fit DBZ & GT because of the ACTION.
This is FUNimation, who knows why they replaced the music. When it comes to Dragon Ball Z,it's almost as if they think of it as their own.I don't understand quite so much either, but I do think they felt that Dragon Balls music didn't have to be replaced, why they didn't feel the same for the other series'...
Meh.
