Yamcha/Piccolo Death Music (Kikuchi BGM)

Post by Arcwave » Sat Jun 23, 2007 5:56 pm

During the Vegeta Saga, was the music that plays after Yamcha's death and during Piccolo's (the flashback scene with Gohan training) ever released? I have the 5-disc set and it wasn't on it. But maybe other BGM releases will have it, too? If you don't know what I'm talking about, it kinda sounds like this:

http://www.raptorhideout.com/vip/Trico/ ... cerpt).mp3
(The above link is just an excerpt of an entire suite on the 5-disc set that I own; mods may delete if this isn't permitted)

Please let me know! Thanks all.

I'm... afraid... that one isn't on CD. It's a shame, it's one of my favorites (my own title for it is "The Fallen"), and possibly the only heartpulling theme of Kikuchi's that actually does evoke tears out of me. I cannot get through Piccolo's last words to Gohan dry-eyed.
BGM forever! If only more people paid attention to it... well, I intend to change that.

You guys are talking about th music that goes all dramatic with the high pitched opera-style voices in it, right? If so, then I too love that track. And it always seemed to come at the right times in the Z series. It was really sad and super dramatic when Piccolo died.

I had a gut feeling that it wasn't. Too bad; it's a wonderful piece that surprisingly isn't available.

No, that is a different piece of BGM which is available. The one I am speaking of is this:

Earlier today I was working with some footage and managed to mix a few scenes that would recreate the music I wanted. I used a few programs to eliminate as much SFX as possible, leaving only minor descrepancies near the end. I first thought that what I was doing wasn't going to work, but my results were almost overwhelming to say the least; -considering what I had.

I liked the name kenisu3000 gave it, so I named it that myself. Hehe 8)

Heh, I'm glad all of you like it. Now let's keep this low key, I don't know if what I did was entirely legal. Hehe, ah well. We're all fans here! 8)

Well considering there's nowhere legal to buy the thing, I have no remorse in downloading it until they actually put it up for purchase.

And by the way? Thank you AGAIN, I love this piece.

Sweet. This has nothing to do with the topic, but do you think you could do something like that for the GT recap-theme too? I was thinking of doing something myself (Cutting out parts with no voices or sound-effects from various episodes and putting it all together.) but I only have one GT-DVD...
