Music you associate with characters...

I'm just curious if anyone else ever done this; listening to a piece of music from a movie or show that you think would fit a character from DBZ.

I have a couple, one of them is posted below; this piece of music reminds me of Garlic Jr. a lot. A cookie to whoever can indentify the piece. I apologize for the not so good quality.

This isn't so much because I personally think the music is fitting, but I do happen to think of Piccolo when I hear the theme music from Terminator 2: Judgement Day. Why? Because, I recall there being a Bruce Faulconer song that reminded me of the Terminator 2 song, and it happened to play for at least one Piccolo scene. :p

I don't know the name of the song though, or where in the dub that it was played. It's been a few years since I've seen the dub, so it's hard to remember.

Ah, very cool! I like it a lot.

And as for Freeza's theme, I'm way ahead of you. It kind of awkardly cuts off at the end, but you get the idea.

Friezafan120...I'm not too entirely sure, but is that the Penguin's theme from Batman Returns you identified Garlic Jr. with?

Ah! Excellent, you are indeed correct sir! It's one of my favorite pieces from Danny Elfman.

I picked because I see some major similarities between the characters; they're are both diminutive, crafty, and are scarred by their parents.

Can you pick out the Cell theme too? It is also by Danny Elfman.

Can't say I'm too familiar with that piece...I want to say it's from Edward Scissorhands, but picking out a Danny Elfman piece from a pile of Danny Elfman themes is no easy task...unless, of course, it's the Simpson's Theme.

Anyway, I don't know why, but I think Cell's theme should have more of a "cockiness" to it. Can't seem to think of anything right now...

Good guess, but it is actually a segment of one his Doc Ock pieces from Spider-Man 2. The title of the piece is "Angry Arms".

Freeza finding everyone on Namek and Cell stalking townsfolk remind me of the Twilight Zone and Halloween themes, respectively. As far as non-film songs go:

Y'know I associated the old "Lost in Space" show's music with the Japanese Dragonball Z's music I know it sounds weird but the music sounds incredibly similar to me.

As for music to go with DBZ... all I know is that Finger Eleven, Evenescence, Linkin Park and the like are NOT a good fit with DBZ, despite what millions of AMVers say.
