How do you use #19 and #20's energy absorbtion? (BT2)

I can only do it sometimes and I'm not clear on how it works.

For the little "ki bullets" I think all you have to do is just hold block before they reach you right?

But what about Blast 2's? I try holding block and they simply block the attack. I try hitting block right before it reaches me and they teleport out of the way. But sometimes I absorb the blast 2's and I'm not sure how I did it.

What's the method to do it and also, can only certain types of Blast 2's be absorbed? I have a sneaking suspicion that death beams can't be absorbed.

Only played BT1, but I'd like to know the same thing... the best I can do with #19 and #20 is just stand there and rapid-block as people ki-volley and try to get in to do a melee combo - throw to absorb energy directly. I managed to absorb a Kamehameha once, but I have no idea how... and making it a power requirement for energy absorbing characters seems kind of counter intuitive.

So I second the question~.
