Yup. I've seen it.
It's been a while, and I'm completely beat right now, but I do remember seeing that along with some other original alternate Playdia footage on YouTube.

Yes seen it, I wish they'd release the Playdia game as an interactive dvd so you can play the game on your dvd-player, but since it wasn't in the Dragon Box I guess we will never see the light of day for that.

Oh, yes.

I think a majority of us here on these boards have seen it. The ending is kind of...err....strange. Goku's doing some cheap blast to the face right before the spirit bomb made impact seemed out of character for him. It still a well made piece of work, considering it's just for a game.

Stupid Budokai Tenkaichi openings.

What was Goku's explanation for being able to do the Genki Dama as a Super Saiya-jin? He was talking to Piccolo about it I think.

Well, as far as I can tell he sort of glosses over it; he says to Piccolo that he has a request to make, Piccolo asks what it is. Goku explains that this opponent has a terrifying/earth-shattering power, and it far exceeds his own. Piccolo is surprised by this. Goku then says something to the effect of 'There's nothing else for it/ it's sink or swim: I'll fight with the Genki Dama'. Piccolo questions this since apparently the 'evil' in the Super Saiyajin means that Goku can't form the bomb. Goku says he knows, but that he is now a Super Saiyajin that has 'passed beyond the wall'/ 'exceeded the limits' of Super Saiyajin. Unfortunately I can't hear the next line however I turn it up, but Goku then says that what he will create is a SUPER Genki Dama. Piccolo then flies off while Goku charges up.

Sorry this isn't very useful, but no doubt someone else will manage a bit better than I did

Wait... Hachihyakku transforms?

I haven't seen the end of Gaiden, so I'm not certain... is this an alternate-ending only thing, or does he perform a henshin in the regular story branch of the game? And if it is only for this ending... why doesn't it show him transform?

That's just one of the endings from the 2nd DBZ Playdia game (Space version). I believe there is two, maybe three different endings. Hell, there might even be a different ending for each character. I don't know. I've never actually played the game myself. But I do have a DVD containing all of the animation scenes.
