Those are sweet. Thanks for posting these, they're gonna be great for my custom subbed Dragon Box movies. May I ask where you got the Japanese covers in such a good resolution? All I can ever find are some really low-res JPEG's.

YES! Something awesome to place over that badly-done cover Funi put on their movie 8 dvd cases.
Thank you so much. X3
EDIT: At what size should I print it so that it properly covers the front of the case?
On hiatus.

Thanks for the comments, long ago I got them all off planetNamek website

, back then they were a well done site and a good source of DB, my hat off to them. For printing them I use Nero Cover designer, no resizing needed. Yes I have never liked what Funimation did with these movies covers, original artwork always beats there best work.

This are really really nice. Great work man. I'm personally a fan of the FUNi art so I won't be using these. But great job none the less.

Thank u shadow, I'm not sure if they were, the ones I used are from the Japanese theatrical release posters, they can be found in one of the Daizinshuu books, not sure which one.

Not sure about movie 7, I don't have it a hand, but movie 8's design was done by Rick Lebo.

Not my scan.

Compare that one to the Japanese version, you will see much less depth and detail in it, not to mention original artwork instead of the plain looking characters.

I like the design of the covers. But you spelled Android wrong. It's not "Andriod"
Nothing matters (in a cosmic sense.) Have a good time.

Yeah, but I noticed that the style is kind of similar to the newer illustrations that were done for the UUE releases. Also, from what I remember the UUE's cover art were made by a japanese art team, if I'm not mistaken.
*edit. Nvm, just took a look at the picture posted above.

Checking my collection rreal quick, he did DBZ Movies 4-9, (though 9 still has the Japanese art), DB Movie 3, and all the DBZ singles before the UUE's. On a side note, it seems Antimere Robinson did GT and the DB sets, and he did a much better (ie, less lazy) job.

These are fantastic.
It never made sense to me why Funimation didn't use this artwork, it's obviously drawn to a higher standard, and actually have a little creativity in the layout.
Now, all someone (not naming names here..

) needs to do is make some nice high resolution season set covers (maybe with some art from the Daizenshuu or the Kanzenban manga releases) because I am sure as hell sick of that ugly orange brick.

Thanks Captain,I will leave that for somebody else till I have some free time to try out one. Last month I ordered 2 DVD cases off a website, one holds 10 discs the other holds 6. When I finally got it in the mail the guy handed me a big box

I opened it up and it was full of both cases

. So what I did was I stuffed all of Freeza Saga DVDs I had and created a season 3 Box set, now I got one set for season 4. Thought I share that funny story.
