The Ship from GT

Post by Kaboom » Thu Oct 18, 2007 6:10 pm

In order to redesign it for my fanfic, I'm trying to locate some good art or screencaps of Goku and company's ship from the Black Star DB saga. The rest of the internet is proving useless thus far, so does anyone have anything good I could work off of?

Also, did either of the GT Perfect File guidebooks have any sort of info about the ship? I could hope for schematics, but that would be stupid of me, so did either have at least any decent pictures?

Are you mainly looking for the outside of the ship or the inside? Or both? And I assume you've tried all the typical DB sites for images like MFG?
Jerseymilk: "Can I tell you something?"
B-kun: "What?"
Jerseymilk: "I see Fangirls."

Either or both; since I'm trying to redesign it a bit, anything laying out the inside could only help.

Actually, after having scoured just about everything else, I only just now remembered about MFG and it's glorious galleries. I'm surfing it now, and so far I've managed to find a few 'decent' shots of the outside of the ship, but nothing that gives much detail. I'm going through the pages of the "Perfect File 1 Complete" sections that are more info-oriented rather than illustrations to see if there's anything.

I'd thought about redesigning the ship, but I've discovered that I have more in common with Toriyama in that department than previously thought (i.e. we both have a hard time designing vehicles )

EDIT: Jackpot!

That's about as good as I'm gonna get for the outside, I guess. Now I just need to see what can be found as to the layout inside.

Is it just me or did the design of that ship draw heavily from Freeza's spaceship?

A lot of ships looked the same.

But I like the "space squid" kind of design of the GT ship. I just need to redesign it to be a little bit bigger.

This makes me wonder... if people knew that Cold and Freeza were going to bite the dust, why didn't they 'look after' their ship? I imagine that'd've been a very valuable piece of technology!

Didn't Trunks shoot that thing right after killing King Cold?
(or, if true, was that anime-only?)

I really don't remember, but I think that ship perished somehow and there Trunks comes to my mind ^^

Yeah, I think that's what happened... I still have to wonder why though... though I guess Trunks wasn't going to risk any more of Cold's people hnging around to reak havic.
