What CD is this song on?

Post by Supa Saiya-Jin Tullece » Sun Oct 21, 2007 7:13 am

Hey guys. Yestrday, my dog was killed in an accident. He had run away on Thursday, and we put up posters, looked for him for hours, and I even say him once, but he ran faster than I did.

Tragically, he was hit by a car, and the driver fled. Another man called and asked to speak to my parents, and they went to pick him up.

We got him, gave him a nice box, wrapped it up with nice wrapping paper, put a towel at the bottom, gave him a stuffed dog toy he loved and a note from myself (if you want to know what it said, I'll post it).

We buried him in my back yard with a nice giant Crucifix I made, and as we buried him and talked about him and recited some Bible verses, there was one song that just kept going through my mind.

Can you guess?

It was the song that played when Piccolo died and when Vegeta died.

So guys, do you know where I can get a CD with that song?

Thanks.

=D

Thanks, *takes brownies*

And if you need to know what song it is, it's the track that didn't have any vocals in the English version of the Remastered edition, but did in the Japanese one (which Vegetto and everybody talks about in the 65th podcast). And it first came around in movie 2, and then plays again when Vegeta dies after fighting Freeza.

*Clip* Note that its when Vegeta actually drops dead, after he monologs.

Oh... I'm so sorry about your dog...

Anyway, sorry but I don't know which CD this song is on. It's a great song though.

I'm also very sorry to hear about your dog and my heart goes out to you. I had practically the same thing happen to my dog almost a year ago. As a matter of fact it will be a year that he's been gone in mid-November. So I really understand what you're going through. I never knew the entire circumstance of his accident however, since I received the news via a local bylaw officer that found his body on the side of a road. I'm angered that the driver didn't stop, though sadly not suprised since "hit-and-runs" seem to be a common occurence with pets.(I work at an animal hospital so I see a lot of hit by car cases). Anyway, I realize this isn't much of a comfort, but at least you have some form of closure and won't be wondering the rest of your life what's become of him.

As for the song, I wish I could identify it and help you, but it's the dub music which I know very little about since I only watch the Japanese. :/ Hopefully one of the dub fans will see this thread and be able to help you.

Ummm... no, it's not. I believe he's talking about that theme that plays when Piccolo dies to save Gohan in the Saiyan-arc. You know, the one that was missing in FUNi's "Dub with the original music"-track for some wierd reason. And I know where it is: The 5-disc set, disc 5, track 3, " Majin-Jô No Nemuri Hime".

At least I think that was the one you were talking about.

Checked it and you are right. Trimmed to get rid of the other pieces of BGM. I hope that's the song you had in mind.

In case the first link doesn't work.

EDIT: Deleted the first link, didn't work properly.

Well I was paying attention to *this* clip that he posted and assumed that's what he was referring to. :?

I'm awfully sorry about your dog. I've had a couple of tragic pet losses... the first dog contracted a disease (parvo I think it was) and I was the first in our family to find out, firsthand. The other, a few years later, fell and hit her head on the cement sidewalk, breaking her neck (she was a little chihuahua). There was another time where my friends and I witnessed another friend's dog getting fatally hit by a car, and we had to go tell her... that was awful!

Again, I'm really, really sorry, and I hope you're taking it well. I can totally relate with the song running through your head during the funeral. I do it all the time. Your question's already been answered, it looks like, though; so I'll just say keep chugging along.
BGM forever! If only more people paid attention to it... well, I intend to change that.

Sorry to hear about your. That hella sucks man. I'm a dog owner myself, and I can't imagine (and don't want to) how devestated you must've been. It's just like losing a child.

I'm sorry about your loss.
But like Gokou said to Gohan when he was fighting Cell: "When you really love someone, that someone will never die!"
ORA SONGOKOU DA!
