I believe Cowboy Bebop is in the same boat. A new HD Remastered box is coming, but no actual HD release on the radar.

Macross
Corey,
They are doing the same thing with Macross except releasing them in separate boxes. SDF Macross, Macross The Movie, Macross Plus, and Macross 7 is coming out HD Remastered on standard DVD. Albeit, it's part of the 25th Anniversary, it still is going to be a great release since none of them has been released complete like this.
