A What-If viewpoint of mine on BT3's original DB story modes

After hearing of the pretty cruddy order of matches in this game regarding original DB, I came up with a list based on all available characters and how I would've liked to played the series in this game. Essentially, I took both BT2/Sparking! and BT3/Meteor in mind with how I listed these battles, as some creative license would need to be used for a consistent number of battles and to further the plot along. Hell, I may end up using this on Duel Mode some time; enjoy guys! (Oh yeah, anime filler was taken into account with this list :p)

Emperor Pilaf Arc:
*Goku meets Bulma, they begin their Dragonball hunting - They come across Roshi, rather than Bulma's pantyless flash, Roshi offers them his ball and Kinto'Un if Goku can impress him in sparring*

Is it ok if mine scales DB-GT instead of just DB, or do ya wanna keep the posts relatively short?

If the "survive until time runs out" style matches were still in, I'd suggest adding Yamcha Vs Tamberine in the Piccolo Daimao bit there. Else, the list of Conan is quite extensive!

What is the current state of GT stories in BT2 and 3? Oh... right... I ... somehow forgot about the lack of teen Goten and Trunks...

But Baby Gohan did fight Piccolo, if only for two seconds!
And how wasthe Super17 stuff handled? Jees, you think a character-frenzied DBZ game would go crazy with a back-from-hell saga. Surely Pan Vs Blue is in?
Yeah, I should read the story mode stuffs before saying anything else. ^___^.

This is one thing that annoys me about Tenkaichi 3. Having finally gotten the characters to make a great DB saga, they shorten the story arcs. Most of the DB villians aren't even used in history mode. The DBZ story arc's are way too short aswell. The Namek saga skips straight to the Ginyu Force. What was the point of adding characters like King Cold and Nail if we dont get to fight them in the right context?...

I'm still working on mine, but one thing I noticed in playing is that it won't let you fight two of the same people, even if they have alternate outfits. So someone versus 2 Frieza Soldiers doesn't work out.

Agreed, but then again, don't forget the pain in the ass that produced in both Sparking! and Sparking! NEO. Five-hundred fights plus the movies? That's almost a bit much, if you ask me.

Conan, these lists look great. I'm seriously going to have to try them out...when I can manage to get all of the Dragon Balls and get Chi-Chi. >_>;

The Ginyu Force
*Having just unlocked Gohan’s potential, the Earthlings are forced to make a truce with Vegeta to face the newly arrived Ginyu Force*
01; ~Namek~ “Minor Leagues” – Kid Gohan, Krillin (No undershirt) vs. Guldo.
02; ~Namek~ “Unstoppable Recoome” – Recoome vs. Vegeta (Scouter, outfit 2), Krillin (No undershirt) and Kid Gohan.
03; ~Namek~ “Goku – Super Saiyan?” – Goku (Mid) vs. Recoome (Battle-damaged)
04; ~Namek~ “Purple Comet” – Goku (Mid) vs. Burter and Jeice.
*Jeice retreats to get the Captain. Gohan and Krillin follow to steal the Dragonballs. Once Ginyu returns, Vegeta abandons Goku to get his own wish*
05; ~Namek~ “Captain Ginyu’s Strength” – Goku (Mid) vs. Ginyu
*Meanwhile, Freeza has gone to force Guru to tell him the password to the Dragonballs. Nail tries to delay him, as Dende races towards the Earthlings*
06; ~Namek~ “The Last Namek” – Freeza vs. Nail.
*Having stolen Goku’s body, Ginyu attacks Gohan and Krillin. But it seems he’s lost some power…*
07; ~Namek~ “Attack of the Body Snatcher!” – Kid Gohan and Krillin (No undershirt) vs. Ginyu (Kame gi) [Not the best workaround, but at least it keeps Ginyu-Goku from using the Kamehameha and Kaioken. I suggest Early Goku with his 3rd outfit if you prefer the appearance]
08; ~Namek~ “Newfound Power” – Vegeta (Scouter, outfit 3) vs. Jeice and Ginyu (Kame gi)
*Goku interferes as Ginyu attempts to steal Vegeta’s body, leaving the Captain crippled and at the Prince’s non-existent mercy.*
09; ~Namek~ “End of Captain Ginyu” – Vegeta (Scouter, outfit 3) vs. Ginyu.

The Battle with Freeza
*Dende has arrived! Gohan and Krillin summon the Dragon as Vegeta and Goku recuperate. They revive Piccolo and bring him to Namek….but Guru dies as the Dragon fades away as both Vegeta and Freeza arrive on the scene.*

*Watching Freeza’s power climb, Vegeta orders Krillin to beat him to near-death, that a Zenkai will allow him to become a Super Saiyan*

06; ~Namek~ “Death of the Prince” – Freeza (Final Form) vs. Vegeta (Scouter, outfit 3)

*The Spirit Bomb fails, and the exhausted Goku can only watch in horror as the vengeful Freeza tears into his friends*
10; ~Namek~ “Darkest Day” – Freeza (Final Form) vs. Piccolo (Early) and Krillin (Saiyan armor).
11; ~Namek~ “Legendary Super Saiyan” – SSJ Goku (Mid, shredded gi) vs. Freeza (Final Form)
*Unable to face the mighty Super Saiyan, Freeza attacks the core of Namek. When the planet fails to explode immediately, Freeza unleashes his full power…*
12; ~Dying Namek~ “One Hundred Percent!” – Freeza (100%) vs. SSJ Goku (Mid, shredded gi)
*Freeza’s powers reach their peak, but the Super Saiyan stands comfortably beyond. Satisfied with humiliation, Goku depowers and tries to leave the battlefield, in hopes he can escape the impending destruction of Namek. Freeza has other ideas for the Saiyan, as the planet begins to break up*
13; ~Dying Namek~ “End of the Line” – Goku (Mid, shredded gi) vs. Freeza (100%)
*Namek explodes as the Super Saiyan roars in defiance, Freeza’s corpse below him. Back on Earth, Vegeta’s amusement at his two greatest rivals’ deaths is unwelcome to the grieving Gohan.*
