Your Favorite Ending?
What do you think your favorite ending to the Dragonball Series would have been.
The ending to Dragonball? Z? or GT? (You can pick things in between, not just the definite endings to the three)
I personally thought that the ending the GT was the best. Sure, the series as a whole was not very good. But I loved the ending. The idea of Goku ending his journey by leaving with Shen Long was the best too me. You didn't know where he was going, but you knew that he was gone for good(In a good way.) It was a definite ending, and still had some mystery and imagination too it.(And the music was great too in the original.)
The skip to Goku Jr. was nice too, and of course I loved the flashback scene(but it would have been better to me if they had used the original Dragonball Theme)
So, what do you think?

Gohan defeats Cell, then I wouldnt have to sit through SSJ3, fusions and Buu along with the rest of that crap that Toriyama just made up as he went along.
Everything just got really old by the Buu saga.
But if you want to go by what really happened I still like Z's ending better. For the sheer fact that the whole Goku JR. thing was a little cliche'.

Trunks defeats the androids, gets killed by Cell, Cell goes back in time.
The earth is finally rid of transforming monkey aliens from outer space, with Vegeta and all of the Z fighters dead, that stupid wench Bulma has no one else to terrorize and complain to. Then, she probably gets eaten by Majin Buu.
The End

Well I think he put more thought into that stuff rather then the stuff he made up for the Buu saga because let's face it, he was really getting tired of the series at that point so everything felt rehashed and cliche'. "OMG HEZ TOO POWEFULL SO LEZ COMBINE 2 SSJ'S 2 MAKE AN ULTIMATE SSJ3!!!111" I thought Super Sajin 3 was too much let alone all of that fusion nonsense.Chibi Mystic Gohan wrote:As opposed to the stuff he didn't make up as he went along? My favorite ending has got to be, without a doubt, the end of GT.
That little montage at the end, with Dan Dan playing in the background, so magical. Seeing Goku leave, knowing that he's out there, somewhere, and having a sense that he'll be back whenever evil strikes his home. An awesome end to the greatest Anime made.

Next quest: Buy the Super: Broly and Super Hero Blurays, also Daima whenever that releases in the states. Also the Super Manga!

It actually is, out of the three 'real' endings, especially since Goku finally gets it through his thick skull that the best candidate for Earth's protector is Vegeta, not any of the lazy fleabag kids.Conan the SSJ wrote:I'm surprised GT's ending isn't your favorite, since Gohan only has one line of dialogue (regarding Shenlong's return) and is the only character whom doesn't really get a farewell.
At least he didn't leave the Earth again.Taku128 wrote:Isn't that what he did? He ditched his family to go train Uub.Raki wrote:The ending with Goku going to train with Uub. At least he doesn't die or go off into an unknown world and leave his family again.
The series doesn't start with the arrival of Raditz. Stop being lazy and watch Dragonball.

What? No love for that random house that caught on fire?
...
I honestly don't remember anything about DragonBall's ending aside from that.
Anyways, I think I watched the GT ending on Youtube once, and I have to say that it almost validates GT. Almost.
I despise the ending to DBZ, though. It's so... I dunno. I always felt cheated after watching it, even as an 11 year old kid.

I personally would have been fine (although sad, I guess), with Gohan defeating Cell. I always felt that it was a very proper ending, and had all the making of being final.
Maybe it's just because I like that saga though. The destruction of Namek would have been great as well. As much as Vegeta is one of my favorite characters, I always felt his death at the hands of Frieza, and his speech was where he properly should have been left off. His resurrection left him with very little purpose (unless you count the "I must surpass/defeat Kakarrot" stuff)
I never really felt happy with the ending of Z, and I felt even worse about GT. There were elements of each I like, but not enough for me to feel it was a good note to end on.
