why is the dragon box footage so special?

Discussion, generally of an in-universe nature, regarding any aspect of the franchise (including movies, spin-offs, etc.) such as: techniques, character relationships, internal back-history, its universe, and more.

why is the dragon box footage so special?

Post by thethinggoku » Thu Jan 24, 2008 6:43 pm

Hey why is the dragon box so special? I've seen a clip and the footage has grain (video noise) running around like crazy! I dunno why is that, but I feel like i'm watching a VHS tape when it's covered with all that grain.... I tried running the clip through ffdshow's grain removal tool and it looked better.
The picture quality itself is unbelievable and the colors are frickin' amazing, but the grain really kills it IMO...

Why couldn't have toei removed the grain to some degree? Or is the grain only showing up on PC lcd monitors or something?

Thanks

Because it's a 15-year-old show animated by underpaid and overworked Koreans.
