"METEOR" & "Burst Limit" CD

Post by VegettoEX » Mon Jan 28, 2008 8:23 pm

Just updated the home page of the site. Awesome news...!

PS2・Wii用ソフト『ドラゴンボールZ スパーキング! メティオ』主題歌:「Super Survivor」
PS2・Wii Yo Sofuto 「Doragonbôru Zetto Supâkingu! Meteo」 Shûdaika: 「Super Survivor」
PS2 & Wii Software: "DragonBall Z: Sparking! METEOR" Theme Song: "Super Survivor"

Pretty sure I've got my romanization correct; let me know if anything needs fixing up. Anyway, it's due out 09 April 2008 with a catalogue number of LACA-5770 for just under ¥1500, and will contain eight tracks in total. We know, so far, that it is going to contain:

- "Super Survivor" (theme song to DBZ: Sparking! METEOR)
- "Kiseki no Honô yo Moeagare!!" (theme song to DBZ: Burst Limit)

Since there are eight tracks in total, I'm wondering what else there will be. These CDs typically break down the tracks into vocal / karaoke versions, so will there be four different songs and then the four karaoke versions of those songs? As I mentioned on the home page, the only other quasi-DBZ video game theme song that hasn't seen a proper CD release yet was the opening theme to Battle Stadium D.O.N., "don't give up" (which was performed by both Hironobu Kageyama & Hiroshi Kitadani).

I think this CD is going to be made by Lantis. I checked their website, but they don't have anything on this CD yet.

I'll most likely pick this up as I know i don't own half the tracks on it like perhaps the 13 disc set.
Hoping for a D.O.N. Theme. :D

*Jumps around room, breaking everything in sight*

I'm alright now. :P This has got to be the best Dragonball news I've heard so far in 2008! I completely wouldn't mind buying this at ALL. :D
Next quest: Buy the Super: Broly and Super Hero Blurays, also Daima whenever that releases in the states. Also the Super Manga!

I freaked out a huge deal, myself... it's almost kind of embarrassing :P. I think the discovery of finding the listing on my own actually contributed to the huge excitement.

Anyone else have any other thoughts on the other included tracks? I'm really at a loss, at this point...

I'm guessing the track list will be

1. Super Suvivor
2. Kiseki no Honô yo Moeagare!!"
3. Don't Give Up
4. ???
5. Super Suvivor (Instrumental/Backtrack)
6. Kiseki no Honô yo Moeagare!! (Instrumental/Backtrack)
7. Don't Give Up (Instrumental/Backtrack)
8. ???

Or perhaps they won't have the D.O.N Theme and just have remix's of Burst Limit and METEOR

I just freaked out when I saw this on CD Japan. I absolutely love what I've heard of "Kiseki no Hono yo Moeagare!" I'm awfully tempted to import this.

I think the track listing will be this:

1. Super Survivor (Short Vocal)
2. Super Survivor (Full Vocal)
3. Super Survivor (Short Instrumental)
4. Super Survivor (Full Instrumental)
5. "Kiseki no Honô yo Moeagare!! (Short Vocal)
6. "Kiseki no Honô yo Moeagare!! (Long Vocal)
7. "Kiseki no Honô yo Moeagare!! (Short Instrumental)
8. "Kiseki no Honô yo Moeagare!! (Long Instrumental)

I don't know what else it could be. :?

Lantis finally updated with the track listing:

1. Super Survivor
2. Kiseki no Honoo yo Moeagare!
3. Super Survivor (English Version)
4. Kiseki no Honoo yo Moeagare! (English Version)
5. Image Song
6. Image Song
7. off vocal
8. off vocal

I have no idea what those image songs and off vocals are. Anyone have any ideas?

English version? Do they mean the instrumentals that are in the English versions or actual English lyrics?

Hmm, kinda weird though. I thought they usually call it instrumental or karaoke.

Isn't off-vocal another term for karaoke?

But I have no idea about the image songs, either. If I had to guess, I'd say they're brand new "B-sides" for the other two songs that have yet to have their titles released.

I believe you are correct. I'm not sure why I didn't notice that before. I still kinda doubt it is, but I think it would be cool to hear more songs from Kageyama Hironobu in English.

I have a feeling that "English" means the US versions of these songs (Instrumental). I want to also point out that it doesn't even mention there being short versions. Don't these CDs always have the Full and Short versions of the song?

*Then again, it doesn't say "Full" either...*

Not always. The "short" or "TV-size", if you will, versions of the Budokai 2 and Budokai 3 songs exclusively appeared on the regular OSTs for the games; the CD single for the two songs only had four tracks, which were the normal (full-length) versions and the karaoke versions (also of the full-length song).

Oh, so I wasn't going crazy when I didn't see the short versions of the songs. Thanks for clearing it up. :)

Well; I just pre-ordered this CD, so I'll be able to find out what "English Version" means.

Lantis is delaying the release of this CD. They haven't decided on an exact date yet, but they're saying that it's going to come out in early summer.
