"DragonBall Online" Trailer
I finally bought a gamecube. To bad they don't make any games for it now.

Neat. Why Vegeta is the bad guy in this era, i don't know, but it looks interesting.
Just another Dragon Ball fangirl in the world.

I don't really care about online games, but the chance to create my own character is interesting. That is an option I think they need to implement in one of the console games, cause that way they could put in like 20 well made fighters, and then you can make whoever you want, even people from the show, that way we don't get 150 characters, 125 of which are worthless.

Since just before that they showed that time machine and the years rolling backwards, I think the idea is that the Dragon Ball Online characters went back in time to help Goku in his original battle against Vegeta.mysteriousdbzgt wrote:Why Vegeta is the bad guy in this era, i don't know, but it looks interesting.
Maybe there will be other missions like "help Gohan defeat Cell" or "Help Trunks kill the Androids".Herms wrote:Since just before that they showed that time machine and the years rolling backwards, I think the idea is that the Dragon Ball Online characters went back in time to help Goku in his original battle against Vegeta.mysteriousdbzgt wrote:Why Vegeta is the bad guy in this era, i don't know, but it looks interesting.

It looks like there's gonna be a time-travel aspect of this game. I like that, in the beginning, it looks like they're reading a book that's like a Dragonball Hero history book. Trunks is the guardian of time? That sounds really cool.

Next quest: Buy the Super: Broly and Super Hero Blurays, also Daima whenever that releases in the states. Also the Super Manga!

(Upon reading the thread title, I thought the movie trailer was finally out...)
Nice. I think I just signed my life away.
It looks like they've set it up so you can witness/interfere/help/whatever to fights from the actual series. I'm not much of a gamer, but this does look interesting.

I realize... if they allow for multiple eras, there would be an easy explanation for multiple sets of Dragonballs active at once.
Heh heh, this opens up ridiculous gates of possibilities. Endless possibilities!
For some reason I want to think of Zork III's time travel system. *shrug*

Very, very true! I doubt it'll be that complicated from the beginning, though.caejones wrote:I realize... if they allow for multiple eras, there would be an easy explanation for multiple sets of Dragonballs active at once.

I wonder if you only have a certain window of opportunity for things like traveling back to certain events on the manga, though. Or maybe those things are necessary before doing other things. Who knows?
If those kinds of limitations don't exist, though, I'm all for training in the current timeline of the series until I could pull a "Trunks vs. Freeza" on Vegeta as well as other villains.
Speaking of timelines, this game might create some fun new debates.

Ah, this is obviously some strange new meaning of the word 'fun' that I was previously unaware of...Kendamu wrote: Speaking of timelines, this game might create some fun new debates.
But yeah, a well-done time travel system could make this game very interesting
Can anyone make out what it says one some of the pages in the history book thing? Obviously the first one is on the last budoukai in the manga, where Goku fought Uub (which makes it seem that they're ignoring GT), but after that is there anything coherent?
