It's just something interesting I thought you fine people at Daizenshuu EX might enjoy! :D

Apparently, it's only rare in the U.S., though.

I don't know that it's so much "rare" as other stuff, since it was included right at the beginning of the "Arrival" VHS/DVD :P.

In fact, I'll rip a nicer version and put it up! :D

Not to be outdone, here's the DB "rare" promo:
For all the flack that FUNimation gets on this forum for their quote about DBZ, there's some modicum of truth to it: a 9-year-old is born every day. Or in some cases, "reborn". DBZ may be a kids' show, but it's been so close to so many hearts all over Japan, America, and quite possibly, even the world.
Yeah, it's pretty ridiculous. In the process of ripping it and trying to clean it up, I'm half-tempted to just re-rip all of the footage it uses and re-create the video track from scratch, myself.

It's that awful :P.

Better to keep your mouth shut and appear stupid than to open it and remove all doubt.

Wow, children over 5? Seriously?

Sure its aimed at a younger audience, but if I had watched DB when I was 5 my mom wouldve thought I was on drugs

Cartoon Network cut or uncut? I'd say on drugs for the latter, but the former is fine for five year-olds I think.

None of these are actually rare since they were on the arrival and saga of Goku tapes. Both of which I used to own and still remember.

My cousin at like 4, trying to quote Her-cule from the dub... "Its time to kick Buu's ass!"
And back when his pronunciation wasn't so good, the way he said Goku sounded something like "ToTo" or "ChoCho" or something... (and Vegeta was "Dee-dee"... and I think he called Gohan on Super Butoden3 that once... and Supreme Kai was 'GreenGuy').
... and I think he bought into the "Her-cule is the strongest!" act for a little while... XD

... Then again, he's become one of the hyperactive can't-sit-still-without-a-video-game Naruto kids...
Ur, so... yeah... we let him watch dubbed DBZ and play the games rather early on.

The most violent thing that was on TV when I was 5 or 6 was Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. I had a few friends who's parents wouldnt let them watch it.

Even the cut DB is pretty intense at times.

*shrug* and my dad suggested I watch MMPR. Meanwhile, my brothers in the next state over were discouraged from it by other relatives. So I guess when you get down to it, it's all a matter of ... background and stuff...?
