Legacy of Goku 1 Fan Remake?

I seem to recall a topic or posts or something on this site saying that some guy was remaking Legacy of Goku 1 with the better sprites of LoG2 (Buu's Fury?), starting from the 23rd Budokai, but I couldn't find it via searching.

Does anyone else remember this and did the project just get dropped?

If he wanted to remake the game he should not only change the sprites, get the much better engine of the two sequels :/.

I wish I had info, but alas I do not. Anyone else?
