Save Files Between Regions?
If I were to have a save file for the American version of Super Dragonball Z, would I be able to load that save file up in the Japanese version of Super Dragonball Z? How about other Dragonball games?

Hm, that's a really good question.
If it's a different region save file, I don't think it would work. That's just from my knowledge of Japanese and USA games and their similarities and differences when it comes to this kind of thing.
Anybody with more knowledge is more than welcome to prove me wrong.

Next quest: Buy the Super: Broly and Super Hero Blurays, also Daima whenever that releases in the states. Also the Super Manga!

Re: Save Files Between Regions?
Well, I think I can help, I have both Sparking! METEOR and Budokai Tenkaichi 3, and my PS2 memory card considers them to different games, and I had Tenkaichi 3, pretty much beat, way before I got Sparking! METEOR. When I got Sparking! METEOR playing, it didn't even read Tenkaichi 3's data. If it helps, I could post a picture of it later.Kendamu wrote:If I were to have a save file for the American version of Super Dragonball Z, would I be able to load that save file up in the Japanese version of Super Dragonball Z? Just for now here's how it was.
They both have the same icon on the memory card, but the names were written differently.
Sparking! METEOR was written as: ドラゴンボールZ スパーキング メテオ (METEOR might have been written in English Capital letters, but Dragon Ball and Sparking were written in Katakana.)
Budokai Tenkaichi 3 was written as: DBZ BT3 (along the lines of that)

I was disappointed when I picked up DBZ, 2 and 3 after beating the Americn versions of all 3 original Budokai games. But whatever, playing it in Japanese back n those days of no Japanese tracks was a real treat anyways.Kendamu wrote:Okay. So, essentially if I start playing Japanese Dragonball games on PS2 I'll just have to start from the beginning. No biggie.
