Rate my name for a new Freeza relative.

Tell me if this pun works or not.. I'm not claiming to know Japanese, but this just seemed like a clever little idea to me. From playind Diablo 2, I've known forever that Buriza-do is one way of saying "Blizzard" in Japanese, as they have an item in the game called Buriza-do Kyanon.. but anyway, I got to thinkig Buriza sounds so similar to Furiiza, so if you just take the last sylable off the "d" in blizzard, and just use "Buriza" as a name for Freeza's uncle or something.. and if you Funimationized the name it could even just be Blizza.

Yes? No?

Haha, that is funny.

So anyway, it's a decent name then? My understanding of Japanese is pretty poor, but would Buriza indeed be identifiable as part of the word blizzard, or would dropping the -do at the end make it unrecognizable.
For all the flack that FUNimation gets on this forum for their quote about DBZ, there's some modicum of truth to it: a 9-year-old is born every day. Or in some cases, "reborn". DBZ may be a kids' show, but it's been so close to so many hearts all over Japan, America, and quite possibly, even the world.
buriiza is written just like furiiza with a voice mark on the fu. :D
I'd say yes, but I'd have to look stff up for a definitive "in Japanese blizard = " answer... which... I might if noone else does. It seems highly likely, though.

How is that fixing it?

I was thinking along the lines of Ice.

Ok, so burizaado is indeed one of three ways to say blizzard in Japanese. (the others being fubuki and moufubuki... unless I forgot what I was looking at ten seconds ago already. ).
Since Freeza cut of an extra 'a'... Buriza seems completely within reason. :D
(Psst: DBCrisis is still awesome. I recently had a dream that Ultimate Vegeta and Piccolo had to go see the wizard of Oz for some reason...)

Oh thanks for the info and compliment. I forgot to continue updating my fanfic on this board in the Fanworks Explosion thread. None the less, the story is still going.

F-King Furizing sounds good to me. Living in Canada I think it is an incredinly stron villain that uses temperature in their name.

On the idea of Fridgid relatives, how the hell do these thigns mate? They aren't even congenial enough for friendship

I feel that Buriza is a little too similar to Freeza, but Blizza sounds great.

Great job on incorporating Japanese wording, pure genius!

I think Refrigerator works fine.

Kind of sounds like a good name for Freeza's pet dog.

in the next burst limit there should be an attack called 'Freeza Burn'

In Frieza's extended family tree we have Chilla, Frosty the Snowman, Colder, Blizzarda, Ice Man, Doctor Freeze, King Cooler, Sorbet, Frigid, Sub-Zero, anything cheesey applies.

I would love to see popscicle the dog. Why, he has more power in his left leg than Goku does in his entire body.

"Cool party" -Mr. Freeze.

I'm getting a Sigma from Mega Man X 1 vibe. Y'know, where you've gotta fight his dog before you fight him, then you fight them, then he and his dog combine into a giant robo that spits fire and shoots lasors?

So Freeza's aunt was from a moon of Plundar and joined an elite fighting force that got stranded on 3rd Earth?
