Anyone here see the news (
Can be found at SzR) about Namco licensing the old Rock the Dragon theme? That is just mad whack...sure Taiko looks like a tight game from the screens I've seen and what I read about it, but what the heck can they use Rock the Dragon for? Thats just nuts!
Whats next? Step in the Grand Tour for Tekken 5?
Crazy I tell you...CRAZY

Suddenly FUNi's reasoning for the GT theme makes a lot more sense.
Romana: "I don't think we should interfere."
Doctor: "Interfere? Of course we should interfere! Always do what you're best at, that's what I say."

While Namco is at it, they can license the Poke' Rap and the Sailor Moon theme! And that Yugioh theme!
I can see it now...
Heihachi:It's time to... D-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-duel!
Kazuya:I will be beat you, sworn enemy father of mine with my Exodia the Forbidden One!

If it wasnt for the fact it says "Dragon Ball Z" in the lyrics I might see this but with that there its kind of sad, let alone the fact the song sucks...

Did it ever occur to you that not everyone thinks the way you do? Some people may actually like the song. Heck, it's not THAT bad of a song. It sounded 10 times better than that instrumental with the grunge midi instruments that Funi made for season 3...
Although I hate to admit it, it actually used to get me pumped to watch the show, back when I hadn't watched the original version yet.

What would you like me to do? Put an advisory above all of my posts stating "the following is the opinion of the writer and may not apply to everyone"?
I've always been taught to state my opinions without an "in my opinion" or "I think" because that makes the view look unsure and its outright unprofessional. I apologize if you felt offended that I dont agree with you but hey its a free country, I am just as capable of saying what I believe as you are. There's no need to go attacking someone for stating their views.

If you think that's bad, you should hear the French theme...

I still like that song better than Cha-La Head Cha-La. It gets you pumped in a way for some reason.

I'd be willing to go along with "Rock the Dragon got you 'pumped'". I'd even be willing to say that the third and beyond theme tune had "energy". But the English opening to the TV specials? Oh-my-dear-god-in-heaven-what-the-fuck-are-you-talking-about-no-the-pain-fuck?

"Cool in a weird sort of way" means you go "ehehe" the first 2 times you hear it, and then you want to hurt yourself or others.
Preferably others.

I thought the into was alright. Far better than the third intro we got in the UK. But even still, putting it in a game... I don't know what to say!

Faulting "Rock the Dragon" for having Dragonball Z in the lyrics is sorta silly, though, as "We Gotta Power" does too

Makafushigi Adovenchâ also mentioned the name of the show in the lyrics.
Although I don't think they're knocking "Rock the Dragon" for having "DragonBall Z" in the lyrics. Rather, I think everyone is point out how daft it is using the song for a property that isn't, well, "DragonBall Z".

Well, yeah, but that's sorta like reminding a blind man he can't see, isn't it? There's no concievable circumstance under which such a thing would make sense, is there? Unless, "Rock the Dragon" was the #1 Summer Jam of 2002, but that's impossible; we all know it was "Everybody to the Limit"

Gods, I hope they don't use the remix version in the toy commercials. You remember, the one where at the very point that SS Mirai Trunks is blocking Frieza's Deathball, Piccolo inexplicably screams "KAMEHAMEHA!"... And the announcer phonetically pronounces the word "Saiyan"... but anyway, the song was a bad midi version that sounded like the "singer" from the song is dubbed over it, and the whole Piccolo Kamehameha thing was stuck in there for some reason...
But at least it was better than "Step Into Da Grand Tour..."
Battle High 2, starring Kyle Hebert as well as myself, has been released on Xbox 360, OUYA, PC, Linux, Mac, and Xbox One!

I like the French song. It's happy and bouncy.

Yes... I am... but you don't know that...

Just thought I could contribute to this discussion. I actually own the DVDs to the French dub and I was able to sound capture the song (in case any of you have not heard it as of yet).
Here is the link:

Since I had to press the record button first and then press play on my computer, there are about 2 seconds of dead air before the song actually starts.
