Discussion regarding the entirety of the franchise in a general (meta) sense, including such aspects as: production, trends, merchandise, fan culture, and more.

This actually looks pretty cool. I'm pretty sure all the recent calendars were Z and movies exclusive, it'll be neat to see Dragon Ball (and I guess GT...) drawn all new-like
Also, another image from
CD Japan
Bad...ass. DO WANT

That looks pretty damn cool...unfortunately I doubt I'll be able to spare $25 for a calendar.

Trans rights, now!

I never even use paper calendars, and the art in that one image actually looks like a tacky clusterfuck to me. Somebody else can buy it and scan the artwork using a fancy rolling scanner, I don't even own enough of the actual SERIES yet in either DVDs or manga volumes.

Is it calendar season already? Like always, the images look good enough, but I never really understood the format of calendars that give more space to the image than the days and months. Not gonna be a purchase for me, but I'll be enjoying the pictures once someone on the forum scans 'em (which you know will happen).
While the art style is good, there's something weird about the calendar's front page. Bulma seems incredibly out of place in it. While I'm nitpicking, I'm gonna go ahead and say that Goku's pose is a bit off, too. It looks like he's making a kienzan rather than one of his own moves. If they were planning on combining things from all three series, I would've done something more along the lines of splitting the cover into thirds with defining parts from each of the series.

I guess you could consider them as mini-posters with a calender attached.

I really like that mini-image of all the different Goku's (and the one Chi-Chi) all together. I hope someone scans the rest of the months of us to see. X3
On hiatus.

It doen'd look like it will be as awesome as the 2007 calendar, but that fact that they snuck Bardock into that picture gives me some hope that they will have some very nice pictures in this one.

Nice to see Bardock is remembered somewhere.
The series doesn't start with the arrival of Raditz. Stop being lazy and watch Dragonball.

This actually looks better than some of the recent calendars I've seen, the ones with the super saturated colours than burn my retinas.

New Dragonball art is always a good thing, I can't say I love that super shiny look though.
Aro started to laugh. “Ha, ha, ha,” he chuckled.- Actual quote from Twilight

The calendars portray Vegeta with that purplish tint in his hair that we saw on the season 1 cover. I wonder if Funi got it from these calendars (it'd be great if they really did pay attention to Japanese releases because they could learn a lot from them) or from somewhere else.

I always love new DragonBall art but, I don't know. It seems like they are always in the same poses, same facial expressions, same... everything. Maybe if they had Goku and his friends at a formal party or at a carnival or playing video games... Something new. Maybe it's just me though.
Edit: Just thought of a crazy picture I'd love to see. The main villains of DBZ playing lazer tag with Goku. That is all.

^ A Dragon Ball version of the "Nuns Having Fun" calendar, perhaps?

A new DB calendar came out in France this month!
Can't find a picture of the back though.

Something like this you mean?
I found this on Yahoo, Japan. This is from a old calendar... Wish I could find better versions because I've never seen this images before today.

Why include GT? Nobody cares about that show.

Says who? There are plenty of people who found GT to be at least decent.
