When did you think a character was killed on first viewing?

Making this as a little nostaglic bit for all of us. Thinking back to when we'd watch DB or DBZ the first time, when did you truly think a character had been killed, despite somehow miraculously surviving? I'll list my such occasions first, gotta love the old days over half a decade ago when we were spoilered so very little:

Freeza arc:
Gohan: When Recoome broke his neck.
Kuririn: When 2nd form Freeza impaled him and threw him into the ocean.
Goku: When 100% Freeza drilled Super Saiyan Goku into the bowels of Namek and he seemingly got caught in an explosion of lava, this was obviously an anime-only thing.
Goku & Freeza: When they both got caught up in Namek's explosion.

Android/Cell arc:
#17: When Piccolo caught him in the Hellzone Grenade.
Piccolo: When 1st form Cell blast-impaled him.
1st form Cell: When #16 Hell-Flashed him.
Mr. Satan: When Cell backhanded him into a mountain.
Perfect form Cell: When Goku blew his head off with the Instantaneous Kamehame-Ha.
Perfect form Cell: When he was caught in SSJ2 Gohan's first ultimate Kamehame-Ha, before getting #18 knocked out of him.
Perfect form Cell: When self-destructing on Kaio's planet.

Buu arc (Velasa, you may not wanna read these!):
Gohan: When Buu blasted him off into the wilderness and almost everyone had been convinced he was dead.
Buu: When Vegeta went Ultimate Suicide on him.
Mr. Satan: When he got shot by the psycho gunman.
Dende: When Evil Buu terrorized the Lookout after escaping the RoSaT.
Tien: When Super Buu kicked him down.

I have to agree with this one, though he did almost die before eating a senzu. Although the most powerful moment for me was watching the final episode of the Freeza battle when Namek exploded. This was during its first US airing, so I really did think that Goku had died. Oh man, was that a relief when it was revealed that he survived.

Kind of like Majin Buu in the sense that he should have died on one too many occasions.

And is it me or shouldn't a Big Bang Kamehameha to the face have been a deal breaker.

Then again, this is from the same guy who shoots fucking party favors and it was GT so...

The Big Bang Kamehameha to the face was filler.

Besides, if you're going to take out any form of Majin Buu, you'd need to hit a lot more than just his face.
