I can't remember the name of the episode, unfortunately, but it plays a few times in the Freeza saga, pretty much I think when Goku is Super Saiyan and Freeza is on the ropes, if not indeed cut in half. It sounds almost like old church music, with a big organ playing, gives off a Toccata and Fugue in D Minor vibe. Anyone know if this piece is available?

The title is 阻止せよ! セルの完全体 and it starts about 2:30 into that BGM track. Well... it is called "Perfect Cell" so it's not from the freeza arc I guess. But this is the only BGM I could find that has what you describe.

That definitely sounds like it...I'll have to pop in the Season 3 boxset sometime soon and doublecheck, but I'd swear that's it.
