(This is really more of a crazy rant then anything else.)
If you read that subject line and thought "I thought that format is dead, why would they release anything on HD-DVD ?" then you are smarter then FUNimation.
I recently went to the DragonBall Z website, saw the splash page for the new double feature and noticed something...
Yea, it says you can pre-order it on HD-DVD. I clicked the link because I was shocked they would do that, and it ended up being just the regular DVD release. Wow. Godofchaos is probley spinning in his grave right now.

That's a terribly un-scary image of Cooler on the cover. ^^;
But Funi's own covers have never really impressed me much.
On hiatus.

WTF?! I saw those at HMV on Thursday.
Quebec got an American product BEFORE the Americans?!

Yeah. It's really embarrassing that FUNi's still using their vectored artwork in some way. It was ugly back then and it's still ugly now.
As for the subject at hand, I do face palm every time FUNi claims that the DVDs are in high definition.

Hahaha, FUNimation is so stupid.
If challenge had a taste, you'd be quite delicious.

Are you calling my site stupid or the movie?

Wow, the idiots at AnimeonDVD locked my thread and accused me of Photoshopping it. I gave them the proper link. Wonder if they'll admit their mistake?

I reposted, so Skywise deleted the original thread and edited my followup thread to delete any trace of his/her wrongdoing. I love the site, but the mods there can be real dicks.

They do take their mod jobs too seriously.
Thanks for wasting more money Funimation!
The series doesn't start with the arrival of Raditz. Stop being lazy and watch Dragonball.

I'd say they just got confused between HD-DVD and regular DVD.
Does nobody proof read these things?

They made a similar mistake when they announced "Shinobi: Heart Under Blade".

Lame pic of Coola. Would have preferred a shot of him in his final form.

I think “HD DVD” basically means, to them, “
HQ DVD.” This is just like when they advertised the Season Sets as being in HD, even though they weren’t. They were
mastered that way, sure, but the final result is still an SD DVD, which they either don’t get or don’t want to admit. Either way, someone should sue them for false advertising.
