Hey, guys! Um... I'm guessing this is old news... not sure, but one of the popular J-rock bands made a song called "F" about 4 months ago. It talks about Frieza and other figures, like Hitler, and I guess it's sort of a political comparison of Frieza's tyranny to some other actual political figures. It has footage from DBZ. Sooo... check it out!
Notes:
The solo's KICK-ASS!!!

Some parts of the song actually sound like the original Dragon Ball theme!!!

I agree with the YouTube comment of "I just came".
I unfortunately have fallen a bit out of the music scene in general over the last year, and that extends to the couple Japanese bands I have a genuine interest in (being... uhh... Asian Kung-Fu Generation and Maximum the Hormone).
Buiikikaesu was one my favorite albums last year, hands down, and I'm severely pissed I didn't keep up on their releases. I wonder if I can combine this in with one of my open CDJapan orders...

I've also sort of fallen a bit out, myself. I was really obsessed with J-rock last year, since my friends re-introduced me to it, (I already knew about Gackt and X Japan...

) but then it totally slipped outta my head! My friends just showed me the video on Friday, and I thought it was pretty neat, because... well... it sounds kick-ass and it has to do with DBZ!

They're really obsessed about DBZ like yours truly... but I'm just about
this much *holds super huge DB/Z collection in hand* more crazier.

Now that video worked.......how awesome it was.
The series doesn't start with the arrival of Raditz. Stop being lazy and watch Dragonball.

I don't know what to say. My two favorite things in the world have just been combined, music and Dragonball (and even more specifically Freeza). I might just cry...

I absolutely love how, in the sections where the footage starting showing scenes from the original Dragonball opening, they switched to the musical styling of the FUNimation cover of Mystical Adventure. That was fucking sick. Talk about attention to detail!
The video editing fits very well with the song's pace and lyrics, so well done to the author! This turned out fantastically.

It's now wonder they did so well. Seems like they essentially crafted the song and video to go together. It's like a dream AMV scenario.

I've never gotten into the J-Rock culture of music (Would Maximum the Hormone even be categorized under that label?) but I must say that was right up my alley. Awesome compilation.

Amazon Japan

CDJapan
Mentioned it on the podcast before, but CDJapan has
a free ¥500 coupon they're giving out, but it's for orders of ¥3000 or more. This CD single's only ~¥1100 so it doesn't help much, but if you're going to make an order, you're better off ordering in bulk to make the shipping a little more worthwhile... in which case the ¥500 coupon would be a good deal.
The inside booklet of the CD has an image of Freeza's hoverchair, and then another with Planet Namek...

I think I might buy that CD.
That was
vomit-worthy (and by that I mean
sick (in the good sense)).
Just freaking
awesome. The "
godly transfiguration" part actually gave me chills.
*goes to buy more MtH CDs*

Woah, I give the Music forum my once-a-month visit and am surprised to find some pretty interesting stuffs! Never have I seen an official music video (that was MtH's official one, right?) with some DBZ footage since that one rock video ten or so years back. But even without the video it was without a doubt talking about Freeza and his oh-so-evil ways. At first I thought it'd just use maybe a couple seconds worth of DBZ clips but that... woah.
I'm not that big on this type of music, but c'mon... these guys did the second Death Note ED and now this. Maybe I'll check the rest of their stuff out.
... oh yeah, and who else got goosebumps when the scouter popped up on Bush's face?

The one linked? Noooooo way. That's just a random Japanese fan's video. Official music videos would never have subtitles from randomly downloaded footage in them

Yeah, I was wondering about that. Then again, I was thinking that no fan would have things like news footage on them for the sake of making a quick video... then I remember what century I'm in

Wow, being a fan of both Maximum the Hormone (J-pop/rock/metal in general) and DBZ, this was fucking awesome.

No, isn't it obvious from the context of the rest of this thread that it is hot and heavy gay porn?

Not my style of music at all, but it was cool how they went into what sounded a bit like the DB opening. Also there was this:

Trans rights, now!
