French DBZ Chess Set and French Dragonball Sticker Book

Post by _StreetSonic_ » Thu Dec 11, 2008 10:46 am

About 9 years ago there was this French DBZ chess set for sale in Belgium. I have Perfect Cell and Vegeta pieces that came with a magazine, but I was not able to buy the whole set because the store I got the pieces from didn't sell it.

Does anyone happen to have a set they could sell? Or at least a picture of it.

Also, in Belgium, there was this Dragonball sticker book, where you had to buy a pack of stickers and stick it in the book. The bad thing about it, is you end up with a lot of duplicates. It was like buying TCG cards. Unfortunately I couldn't complete the book, I was close, but either they stop selling the cards or I moved away. It also might of been just a Dragonball GT sticker book, I can't remember because most of my stuff I haven't seen in forever(it sucks having a storage in another state).

Does anyone happen to have the complete sticker book, and if so do you have one to sell? Or at least post pictures of it.

Is this it?:

They pop up on Ebay every now and again... Check Ebay France, or Ebay Belgium regularly and I'm sure you'll eventually see it.

No idea about the sticker book, do you have pictures of it? Do you know if itwas made by either AB or Editions Atlas? Those are the companies that made the largest amount of Dragonball stuff that I know of in France... You might want to check this blog here:

He might have the sticker book - that guy has a pretty huge collection of French DB stuff.

Wow, that's a pretty random selection of characters they used there. Why the hell is Buu the pawn? Something like Cell Jr. would make a lot more sense.

If I had to make the chess set, this is how I would do it-

King- Goku
Queen- Chi-Chi
Pawns- Saibamen
Rooks- Nappa
Knights- Vegeta
Bishops- Tenshinhan

But that's just what I'd go for.

Even stranger, I'm fairly certain that this is the set that includes kid Trunks riding the Hiya (sp?) Dragon!
