Infinite World Ending

Post by Mike » Thu Jan 08, 2009 5:16 pm

I've completed Infinite World and I want to watch the ending credits of the game again but for some reason I can't seem to find them. I've re-fought both Kid Buu and Omega Shenron in story mode and neither one leads to the ending credits. Unfortunately I don't remember what battle they followed originally and there are no FAQs on GameFaqs so no help there either. I'd really appreciate if someone could point out the correct place to re-view the ending credits for the game.

-Mike :D

Have you checked options or other modes?

The Gogeta vs Shelong battle should set off the credits after the final cutscene, it works for me..

Me too, I think it's pretty safe to say that this is the battle you're looking for.

Quite possibly the easiest fight in Dragonball game history, you can use Aura Burst right from the start and it never runs out

Fuck, I never realised that (I never use it, so it just slipped my mind)!

That's what I hate about this game if you want to win, you have to abuse the shit out of Aura Burst just like the CPU does, then the difficulty isn't much of an issue, but the game becomes boring as hell.

Really? I havn't noticed this. I have used Aura Burst once in the entire game, which was when I found out how to use it, and thought " .. " and kept playing the way I played Budokai 3.
Completed it, finished Fighterss Road got every capsule in the game, not used Aura Burst a single time.

You can basically "ping-pong" your CPU opponent relentlessly, because every time they retaliate (usually on the last hit) you teleport counter it, and start a new round of "ping-pong" because while in Aura Burst you have unlimited Ki until the Aura Burst meter runs out.

Infinite world is one step forward with the new characters, and two steps back with the fighting system, seriously, who's idea was it to give Gohan a non-cinematic giant Kamehameha?.

The gameplay went two steps forward in my opinion. Although the recreated Hyper Mode is pretty much useless now and just for cheapness and spamming, thankfully it's just easy to wait until it stops when your opponent uses it. Then comes the aura dashing and the <P+K or >P+K moves. Those additions rock, especially Goku's <P+K. The other upgrade I was very happy about were the special attacks moves being able to be preformed mid-combo and not have some set move list to preform them. It's also easier to do combos with the physical special attacks like Goku's Dragon Fist, I love trying to preform infinities with it.

Overall, the only thing that's pretty meh about this game is the lack of a major upgrade(which is understandable considering the amount of time spent on developing Infinite World) and the removal of the Tournament mode. Everything else is awesome, if you have the skills and you're actually good, you can have fun in duel mode without ever needing to spam anything, all it takes is practice and to let go of using the same old minor combos like PPPPE and such. Cancel combos are the way to go!

Toying around with the Hyper Mode out of curiosity today. I discovered something that should not have been discovered.
Piccolo can use unlimited Makkankosappo's.
Try it.

Depending upon which direction you push on the D-pad, you can counter behind somebody without actually hitting them. So there is a way to avoid the endless "ping pong" combo.....

I know that, I was talking about fighting the CPU, you can turn the difficulty way up, and as long as you abuse the shit out of Aura Burst, you'll win without breaking a sweat.

I got destroyed by three in a row once when the computer did it. I think that's way too cheap for the computer to do.

Yeah, that's how I got through Fighter's Road. Battling tons of people eventually got boring but I wanted to finish unlocking everything so I did that.

Try doing the same thing with Teen Gohan, it's basically the same results but with more win!

Another reason the fighting system is now broken, whoever's idea it was to give Gohan a non-cinematic Ultimate should be fired.

Teen Gohan still has the Father-Son Kamehame-Ha, just has to be bought in Skills Shop. It's still cinematic and all, as is adult Gohan's Kamehame-Ha ultimate.

Many few attacks have been reduced to non-cinematics.. I can only think of the Makkankosappo..

And let's not forget about the ultimates that are just automatic and have no chance for the other player to defend, like Super #17's and Paikuhan's. I really hate those -_-
