Domestic DB:E Trailer?

It's the same as International with updated special effects and the order of scenes makes more sense!

Probably is the "official" trailer for the US, I wouldn't be surprised. Of course we still have crap like "I'm not ready for this", "...Cool...", "Chosen one", etc. Also, has James' voice been altered/filtered to sound more "evil"? If it has, that baffles me, seeing as he can really pull off menacing on his own. Anyone else seen his work as Brainiac in Smallville or Luthor in Superman: Doomsday? Anyways, the "updated" effects didn't really impress me anymore than the Japanese trailer, if anything confusing me; what's with the yellow Mafuba, as opposed to the original looking green one?

Not trying to be too harsh, believe me if I were, I'd say a lot more down-putting things than what ya' see above. Honestly, I'm no more impressed with this than anything we've been given prior. Oh well, that's just me. Maybe if Fox had given us at least ONE sign of the actual personality of Son Goku, or something beyond the cliche plot lines of "prophecies, hero in denial, serious flimflam", I would be showing some type of smile. As it is, the trailer for Scorpion King 2 impresses me more than this. And JAPPO, props for dropping your repetitive "dangling meat" routine.

I don't see any difference in the dialogue, and the new scenes were just more action.

Ok? It's still new... so I thought you'd want to know. Sorry!

I like the special effects they've got going on with the dragon balls themselves, but I have to agree with Conan; the fact that "I'm not ready for this." and ".....cool." are still in there leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

I really need a sign from Chatwin that "Son Goku" is in this film, and if he is, why they would ever choose to hide him. The lack of genuine Goku-ness is what's keeping me from getting excited. :(

Wherever that audio was from though was top-notch though; I didn't think my mp3 player's earbuds were capable of cinema quality; so its gotta be whatever format the trailer itself was saved under.

And I still like Son Gohan in this.
So yeah, the new trailer changes nothing for me other than that I'm satisfied with how the dragon balls themselves look with the added special effects.
On hiatus.

It looks exactly the same.

What is that after Roshi's title card? It used to be an almost very-obvious Mafuba, but now it seems like it's something different.

No. It does not. I'm sure someone will post screenshots to compare the two but I'm too lazy.

But you should really compare them before you say it's the same.

Why they would choose to hide him (if he is in there that is) is an easy one; the people who make trailers suck. They always have. Either the trailer gives away all the good bits of the film or they rearrange scenes and take things out of context to make the film seem like something it's not, because they seem to think they know what will attract an audience. Which seems to mean being as generic as possible.

Like adding that "I'm not ready for this" line, if it really isn't in the finished script. I wouldn't be surprised if it isn't, marketing always pulls stuff like this.

Well some of the special effects look better. Roshi's Mafuba technique is clearly not the same shot, so maybe its from right after or right before he does it. Some other shots were added but nothing really exciting.

It's the same shot. They just changed it around a little bit.

What special effects did they change!? Honestly it looks like the other trailer to the T. :|

Just look at what's probably the Mafuba after Roshi's title card, before it was green, now it's yellow. And when Piccolo destroyed that city, now his hand swirls up some type of energy.

I hope that line isn't in the final script SO much.

I heard there was going to be a longer trailer--like 3 minutes long--but I guess that was only a rumor.

Your right, it is the same shot, or close to it, definitely looked better before in my opinion.

Another rumor is that a 5 minute jumbo trailer is with Street Fighter on February 20-something.

Five minutes, that's just obscene. In five minutes you could completely summarize/ruin a film.

See: "The Day The Earth Stood Still"'s 5 minute trailer. It was just one scene.

Well, if it's just one scene, then alright. But still hopefully they don't pull a Spiderman 3 and put up a whole fight for free.
