The Official DragonBall Evolution Toys Thread.

Post by Tanooki Kuribo » Mon Jan 19, 2009 2:16 am

The first listings for DragonBall Evolution toys have popped up on Toywiz.com.

http://www.toywiz.com/dbzmovie.html

The different line of figures seem to be:

The 4 inch figure line: Goku, Yamcha, Roshi, Piccolo, Bulma, Goku With Fangs and Fulum (who?). Each figure will include a piece of Oozaru Goku so you can make a giant monkey Goku figure. What is really interesting is that they call it "Oozaru" and not just "Giant Monkey". This name wasn't even in the American English dub. It's kind of an odd choice but, at the same time I'am for it. In addition to the Oozaru pieces each figure will also come with a DragonBall and a pices of the DragonBall alter. And yes, Goku does come with DragonBall #4.

The 6 inch figure line: Goku and Yamcha. These figures will have a rip chord to make Goku and Yamcha kick or punch.

Vehicles: RX Trike (with 4 Inch exclusive Goku). And Yamcha's Off Road Vehicle which (are you ready for this?) has something called "Yamcha's drill", a moving crane to remove detachable power boosters (?) and missile firing action. And (oh wait, there's more) can transform into a flying hover car... thing? Also includes a 4 Inch exclusive Yamacha. Wow...

Other Toys: Goku's Staff which can be extended to 40 inches. And Goku's Kamehameha Shooter (we all know what these are by now).

Also, the toy manufacturer is listed as Bandai.

Thanks Jappo for pointing me to toywiz for this!

This means nyoi-bo extends!

And Oozaru is an Oozaru and not a monster fish-headed thing!

I'm pleasantly surprised by that.

Like I said in the other thread, I definitely want a nyoi-bo.

Fulum are apparently the demon henchmen of Live Action Piccolo.

These toys give a lot of spoilers more than Fox has ever gave. Kinda pathetic.
If challenge had a taste, you'd be quite delicious.

OldPhan's DragonBallToys websitealso reports that there is an action figure line made by Enterbay. Never heard of them. But apparently they're making premium figures.

Maybe unlike Bandai's recent DB lines, this will actually make it to Canada. 'Cause I really wanted some of those figs :( .

Yeah, I reported that back in December.

Those figures will cost upwards of $100 each.

"Oozaru The Big Monkey?" Maybe in Evolution "Oozaru" is the name of a Great Ape equivalent of "Kyuubi."

I wonder if these/this Fulum(s) is going to be in the video game?

I'm kind of excited for these figures, although I'll reserve final judgment for when I see them. Between these and the 25th anniversary TMNT figures, I'm going to blow a lot of cash on toys this year @.@

The four inch line sounds pretty much like Bandai's current four inch stuff for DBZ.

I'll pick up the regular four inch Goku for shits and giggles but I doubt I'll be getting anything else.

I'll probably pick these up, unless they are total crap.

I can't say I expect much from these figures... They will be interesting to say the least though - for sure the strangest DB figures ever to come out due to their shear oddity..

If all goes well, Bandai should be sending me images of these figures soon... I'll do my best to keep you guys posted as soon as I hear anything.

All the best,

If that doesn't go through, I'm sure we'll see something when New York Comicon hits in a few weeks.
