Vegeta has hit the bottom(my AMV tribute)

When it comes to AMVs I'm not the best, but this was one of my favorite ones to make. The song is "Bottom" by Tool, and its Goku and Vegeta's fight during the Buu saga. Tell me what you think :)
...Wait what are you doing? Are you still reading this? I finished what I had to say, why don't you move on to the next post?

I hope you don't mind, but I'm going to be honest when I tell you what I thought about it. Constructive Criticism, if you will.

On the whole I didn't like it much. It didn't flow, there wasn't much to keep my attention, and there was a lot of repeat clips.

Now, I love Tool as much as the next guy, but I don't think the song fit the tone of the story. The only part that really made any sense was when Vegeta was talking. I thought that fit very well. But perhaps another song would be better for a Vegeta on Goku fight. Maybe "Ticks and Leaches" from Lateralus. That's an insanely fast and loud song with some hateful undertones.

The beginning and end were very slow. Here's something that I discovered and that you might want to consider trying next time: Fighting during fast parts and reactions or memories during the slow parts. Also, try to find footage without watermarks (Cartoon Network) those tend to be very distracting. If you have DVDs there are guides all over the net on how to rip them. You should consider doing that if you're interested in making more.

Also, check out VegettoEX's AMV guide fore a more in depth analysis of Dragon Ball AMVs, as well as some good advice and great examples. It helped me a bundle when I made my first serious DB AMV.

thank you, I appreciate your comment. forgive the repeating clips, the video was a year old and I was learning. I see what your saying with the flow and at times it can feel off, though at the time I only cared about the talking part.Ticks and leeches would have been a great song for a fight with them and I might make that my next project. :)

again thanks for the critiquing a little improvement does it hurt now does it?

I will have to differ with the above opinion. I looked up the lyrics to the song and I think it captured the pent up emotions that Vegeta had built up inside himself. Therefore, I believe it was fitting for that chapter in Dragonball history.

(Moreover, I am not saying this because I am a Vegeta fan).
The Saiyans are very much like the Klingons and Jem'Hadar.

Yeah, I should have been more specific. I agree that the lyrics fit, I just don't feel like the tone of the song was the same. Like the feeling it gives you because of the way it sounds doesn't match with the feeling of the footage used.

Like I said, Ticks and Leeches would have fit the feeling better, maybe not perfectly but better than this song (I forget the name, Bottom? I know it's from Undertow).

On the whole I thought it was quite good for someone who doesn't have a lot of experience of AMVs, but I think there's a couple of things you might want to consider... (as I have made no AMVs ever, I feel I am an expert on the subject.)

I personally think that seven minutes is far too long to hold anybody's attention unless the video's power is maximum. Also, the "Majin Vegeta vs Goku" video has been done to Ano-Yo, so it's extremely difficult to make it original, and even if it is most DBZ AMV fans would be sick of it by that point anyway.

And I found this amusing: "All DBZ footage is copyright to funimation productions."

*calms down*

Anyway, around the middle it got really good, but the build-up was just a little too long.

Uh... 8)

I know I know...
Toie has the Japanese license to dragonball but I dont know the regional rules for Youtube so I put the american publishers. The statements not accurate but if it keeps youtube off my back then whatever works.
