With the new movie coming out... that all the new DB games will just be based on the movie? And be totally lame b/c of it. Becuase I'm sorry I don't give a crap about seeing Justin Chatwin as Goku in my games. Even if the game is cool, I want the anime style not live-action.
Also, do you think we're getting a Burst Limit 2? I've not heard anything about it and it's already 2009. I would like to think we would. I'd also like to think they wouldn't just churn out the same old by-the-book re-cap of the series again but I know they will. I'd like to see more focus on just fighitng. I thought drama pieces were kind of dumb and slowed down the fight a ton. I want to see more crazy moves and combos and super fast gameplay! And some other innovations (gameplay modes or something) to make it more interesting of a release.
Also, do you think a Budokai Tenkaichi like game will come to 360/PS3 this year? That would probably look amazing on the new consoles.
Finally. Do you think it would just be awesome if Toriyama teamed up with TOEI and put together something like that 2008 special, animated it up and made that part of a new game? Imagine if we got a Bust Limit type game but instead of the same old thing it was new based on something Toriyama came up with with new characters and cut-scenes that were animated by TOEI like the special to help tell the story. Yeah. That would rule would it not?
It would me thinks!

1- No I do not...there is usually one crappy video game based on a movie and that's it. The rest of the games will either be based off of DB/Z or DBKai....Zenkai Power wrote:With the new movie coming out... that all the new DB games will just be based on the movie? 2- I don't think so. We might get a new fighting game based on Dragon Ball Kai for next-gen systems, and it might be similar to Burst Limit, but I think that's about it.
3- That would rule but I highly doubt that would happen.

Uhhh.....no. I don't think they will. I honestly think the movie will be a short fad and the PSP game will be all we see of that. Although if it does well, they will most likely do more games for the sequels that come out. I honestly think there's little chance of that though. The manga/anime series just too big for that to happen. With the new movie coming out... that all the new DB games will just be based on the movie? And be totally lame because of it. Because I'm sorry I don't give a crap about seeing Justin Chatwin as Goku in my games. Even if the game is cool, I want the anime style not live-action.
Well, I've never played Burst Limit, but I think there will be a Burst Limit 2, and it will probably be a recap of the series up to the Buu Arc, with maybe a few movie and/or GT characters. They'll definitely add more things to innovate it; they always do.Also, do you think we're getting a Burst Limit 2? I've not heard anything about it and it's already 2009. Also, it's still early in 2009. The earliest I'd expect any news would be at the Games Developers Conference, which is held the last full week of March. So just have patience, news will come when it comes.
I doubt it. Dimps seems to be the main developer for Dragon Ball fighting games for now. It could happen, but I think there's a slim chance of it happening. Also, do you think a Budokai Tenkaichi like game will come to 360/PS3 this year? That would probably look amazing on the new consoles.
As it's own game? No. As a side story in, say, a future Burst Limit game? Maybe. We'll have to see. Finally, do you think it would just be awesome if Akira Toriyama teamed up with Toei and put together something like that 2008 special, animated it up and made that part of a new game? About as likely as Plan to Eradicate the Sayiajin seeing a stateside release. Both would be completely awesome, but neither seems like it will ever happen.Zenkai Power wrote:Finally. Personally I can't begin to tell the difference between the 50 3D DBZ (noted intentionally, because it's always DBZ and always the same segment of the story) fighting games that've gone out recently. They all blend together and hold zero interest for me outside of the off-chance a new one has another gorgeous 2d opening animation.
