The untitled thirteenth chapter of Super Dragon Ball Heroes: Dark Demon Realm Mission!, by Yoshitaka Nagayama, was first published in Japan in the July 2019 issue of Shueisha's Saikyō Jump.
Synopsis
The Time Patrol continue their battle against the Dark Demon Realm's army in the world of Dragon Ball GT, now facing a Fin who has absorbed the timeline's native Gogeta.
Summary
Dabra: Xeno urges Towa to leave the battlefield with him, taking Fin in tow. She declines, noting that it looks as though Fin wants to test the power he has gained by absorbing Gogeta. She dubs Fin's new form “Dark Gogeta.”
Meanwhile, Goku and Vegeta: Xeno have fused into Gogeta: Xeno. Gogeta asks Robel if he can go punish the Demon Gods, but she tells him his role will be to retrieve the Dragon Balls needed to defeat Mechickaboola. Doing so will require vanquishing Yi Xing Long. Robel explains Yi Xing Long’s existence as a manifestation born of the desires of those who used the Dragon Balls to grant their wishes, and asks for the Time Patrol’s assistance against him, for the sake of defeating the Dark Empire’s army.
Gogeta: Xeno agrees, claiming he is more interested in fighting the Demon Gods and will finish Yi Xing Long quickly. His comment outrages Yi Xing Long.
Before Yi Xing Long can move, however, he is attacked and destroyed by Dark Gogeta. Goten: Xeno is shocked that Super Yi Xing Long could be beaten in a single attack. Gohan: Xeno can sense a terrifying energy from Fin, noting that it resembles Gogeta’s.
Gogeta: Xeno notices something odd about Fin/Dark Gogeta, and quickly finds himself in an uphill battle. Gohan: Xeno watches Gogeta: Xeno struggling against Dark Gogeta, and Robel asks Gohan to go help. With her abilities, she promises she can unlock his latent power.
Robel holds up a screw and announces that she plans to rebuild a piece of equipment native to this timeline. She gathered one of its pieces during her investigation of the era. She instructs Gohan to fly ten meters into the air, then taps the screw and invokes “Time Create“ (kanji: 時を集める形成魔術 (toki wo atsumeru keisei majutu, "time-gathering construction magic"; furigana: タイムクリエイト, taimu kureito). The rest of the Bruits Wave Machine rises in various bits and pieces from the rubble and reassembles itself.
Robel aims the machine at Gohan: Xeno. By bathing Saiyans in the energy produced by reflections off the moon, Saiyans can unlock their true power. The question, she says, is whether or not they the will be able to master that power afterward.
Gohan transforms into a Great Ape. Goten and Trunks: Xeno ask Robel to stop the machine, but she continues, eager to see whether Gohan will experience an “awakening” or run wild.
Gogeta: Xeno and his dark counterpart continue their tussle, until the pair is interrupted by a surprise blast of energy fired by Gohan: Xeno, now in a Super Saiyan 4 form. Robel muses that in awakening his power, Gohan has shown his true worth.
Gohan: Xeno flies up to aid Gogeta. Knowing that Fusion has a time limit, Gohan plans going to buy an opening for Gogeta to finish the fight in one blast. Gohan gathers energy as Fin prepares to fire on him. Gohan unleashes a Masenresshōgeki (極限魔閃烈衝撃, “Extreme Demonic Shock Attack”), knocking Fin away for Gogeta: Xeno, and follows up with an “Atomic Kamehameha” (アトミックかめはめ波, atomikku kamehameha).
To both Gogeta and Gohoan's shock, Fin is still standing. Gohan prepares to attack once again, but Gogeta: Xeno tells him to wait. He suspects the other Gogeta has been in control for a while. A portion of Fin’s appearance retreats from Dark Gogeta’s face, and the timeline's native Gogeta, now in control of his body, comments that he simply wanted to test out Fin’s power and try fighting against himself. Gogeta: Xeno says he understands the sentiment. Gohan: Xeno comments that he personally does not.
The timeline's native Gogeta forces Fin out of his body with a burst of energy, claiming he is not so weak as to allow himself to be taken over.
Watching from a distance, Towa laments that she had hoped to return with a sample in tow. Dabra comments that it was too early to send Fin out after all. Towa concedes to retreating, noting that Dabra also needs medical attention for his shoulder, damaged when Robel returned his attack, but the duo is stopped by Demigra and Chamel. Demigra wonders if, in honor of the Demon Realm’s reopening, Towa and Dabra would be so kind as to engage them in battle.
Demigra taunts Dabra over his injury. Towa prepares to attack but is zapped by a bolt of Chamel’s magic. Chamel warns her not to struggle. Demigra has been storing quite an amount of magic power for his looming battle with Mechickaboola. Demigra rushes toward Dabra and announces his intent to finish the two of them quickly in order to preserve his power.
Demigra’s body freezes before he can finish his attack. Towa notes that this is probably “her” doing, and urges Dabra to escape with her while they have the chance. Across the battlefield, every member of the Time Patrol is frozen as well. Trunks remembers a technique that could freeze time around opponents’ bodies. It belonged to the Kaioshin of Time, who now hovers, along with Gravy and Putine, overhead
At Putine's order, Gravy fires a massive “Lightning Destructive Judgement” (落雷破告神, rakurai hakokushin) attack toward the ground.
As the attack is about to land, Robel activates her “Lock-On Chains” (kanji: 魔術連鎖の印, majutsu no rensa in, "magic chain seal"; furigana: ロックオンチェイン, rokku on chein) technique. Magic seals fly through the air, from which strands of energy emerge and wrap around the frozen fighters. Robel says everyone is now connected to the magic’s activation point, and asks Chamel to assist in their exit. Chamel acknowledges. Even if he can’t move, he can still use magic. He activates his “Time Magic: Out” (kanji: 時空術・強制移動; jikuujutsu: kyousei idō, "Time-Space Magic: Forced Movement"; furigana: タイムマジック・アウト, taimu majikku: auto) technique. Swirls of energy surround the fighters, removing them from the battlefield.
Trunks stares helplessly at the Kaioshin of Time as the group is whisked away.
The group emerges in Demigra’s lair. Goten: Xeno breathes a sigh of relief. Trunks laments that the Kaioshin of Time has been brainwashed.
Chamel asks Robel if the time freeze had no effect on her, and she says that by luck, she managed to not be caught in the attack, since she was searching for the Dragon Balls in the rubble. She holds up a sack containing all seven Dragon Balls.
Behind Robel, someone stirs, asking them all to keep down, as she was enjoying her dream. She takes in her surroundings in confusion.
Gohan: Xeno stares in shock, surprised to see they have brought along the other timeline's native Pan.
