Zenni is the main currency of the Dragon World. Its symbol is a Z intersected by two parallel vertical lines, and its value is roughly equal to the Japanese yen,[1] which also exists in the Dragon World.[2]
Overview
Zenni bills are seen occasionally throughout the anime and manga. The most commonly-seen denomination is the 10,000-zenni bill, and these are often collected in bundles of 100 bills (one million zenni).
Value
Akira Toriyama elaborated on the value of zenni in the Super Exciting Guide: Character Volume.[1]
How much is one zenni worth in yen?[...]
It’s easy to understand: I envisioned them as the same as yen. [...]
— Akira Toriyama
However its value seems to fluctuate, as currencies do. In Jaco the Galactic Patrolman, we learn that 100 billion zenni is equal at that time to 150 billion yen.[2]
