Re: "Sparking! ZERO" Official Announcement, Pre-, & Post-Release Discussion Thread

This new game mode is what I was missing from the game.

If you can pick any character you like, and not just 8-10 characters to pick from, this will actually become a game I really want to play and spend a lot of time on.

Re: "Sparking! ZERO" Official Announcement, Pre-, & Post-Release Discussion Thread

So based on yesterday's video, who are the DLC characters? I think I saw Tao Pai Pai, Zangya, #17 from GT, Piccolo Daimao ... were those in the roster already?

Re: Do you think Dragon Ball will be remembered in 60 years?

The series is 40 years old and is still celebrated by fans and known wide by anime enjoyers. However, with the loss of it's author and no knew material, do you think that the series would still be remembered in 60 years?

Re: "Dragon Ball Super: The Galactic Patrol" (20??) Discussion Thread

What I hate about modern Dragon Ball - or rather, the latest Dragon Ball pieces of media - is this oversimplification of the artstyle. In Daima, almost every main character - kid or adult - looks like a vegan. I loved the era of 90s DBZ where the characters looked like they came out of a Masters of ...

Would be a pretty good reason to see ArcSys make Black Frieza a DLC character.

So, I assume we can just roll this into this thread too, but...Dragon Ball Super: Beerus. They're doing mini arcs recapping the important shit from the previously done ones with redone animation like the remaster & recut of Fishman Island of One Piece.

I'll second what Scsigs said, for both games.

The totality of SZ's story mode takes a good while to get through and clearly has effort put into it, so I would never say it's half-assed or unfinished, but I suppose you could argue it feels somewhat "rushed" in the sense that some of the non-Goku ...

Re: "Sparking! ZERO" Official Announcement, Pre-, & Post-Release Discussion Thread

In my humble opinion, these kind of games live and die by their single player modes and content.

And when I heard a developer say that you would be able to make your own custom cutscenes and post them on the game's servers for other people to play, I knew: The single player content of this game ...

Characters that aren't in the game yet, but are popular enough to justify;

-Beast Gohan
-Majin Vegeta
-Super Buu with absorption ability
-Dabura
-Pikkon
-Super 17
-Omega Shenron

It's great to see the game making a comeback.

I also prefer GT SS4 Goku, and was disappointed he wasn't an install ...

Re: A New Dragon Ball Game will be announced on January 25, 2026

I'm going to go completely nuts and say ...

I would love either of the following:

1) a Budokai 4 which takes elements from Burst Limit,

or

2) a Dragon Ball turn-based RPG which is completely black and white, making it look like the manga.
Secret of Weepstone did this for its art style and I ...

Re: "Sparking! ZERO" Official Announcement, Pre-, & Post-Release Discussion Thread

I fully expect more Goku/Vegeta transformations (Daima versions) and more Daima characters. I doubt they're going to touch anything more from the old shows/movies, they'll probably go ham on Daima to ignite interest on the show or invest on the already established interest.

Re: Freeza's Plan

I think that Frieza is aware of the next arc's Big Bad and purposefully spared Goku and Vegeta because he knows he needs their help to tag team the Big Bad and beat.

While in the past such tactics would seem inconceivable for Frieza, the Tournament of Power more than proved that he's willing to use ...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

I'd love it if Goku, Vegeta, Broly, Gohan and Piccolo hear that Frieza is 'up to something', find him in X location in space, they all fight him, he doesn't seem to be going ALL out or is ALL evil about it, and at some point during the battle, he raises his hands, calls for a time out, and tells ...

Using No Man Sky is a poor example because it misunderstands why it caught shit in the first place. The reason why people were unhappy with No Man Sky is because the marketing surrounding the game made promises about what kind of game it was. It was going to be the ultimate space game in which you ...

Re: "Sparking! ZERO" Official Announcement, Pre-, & Post-Release Discussion Thread

I hate to break it to you, but a LOT of Dragon Ball games suffer from this problem. The only ones I can think of that don't are the Legacy of Goku trilogy, the Xenoverse duology, Kakarot, & any of the games that are like them, which ain't a ton. The first 3 games in this series were also like this ...

I can't speak for anyone else, I'll just speak for me.

The second I saw the trailer interview which talked about Sparking!'s Single Player modes, I should have listened to my gut and cancel my preorder.

This game has the same 'problem' that FighterZ had for me. There is almost zero single player ...
