Re: Unpopular DB opinions

Toriyama's a great writer for the kind of work he does, but it's not a realistic story. Dragon Ball takes place in a complete fantasy world. One which, especially early in the series, is a pretty silly place.

Chi-Chi's marriage to Goku is both in-character for the two of them — Chi-Chi's ...

Re: Unpopular DB opinions

That's my biggest problem with it. It's not a realistic relationship. I mean we all know that Akira Toriyama isn't a good writer but Goku x ChiChi pairing is in my opinion one of the worst written plot twists in DB.

Re: Unpopular DB opinions

Goku's marriage to ChiChi is one of the dumbest plot twists in DB.
It makes no sense whatsoever. Goku and ChiChi haven't seen each other in 6 years + 8 months by the time they meet again at the 23rd Martial Arts Tournament. Who in their right mind would marry someone they haven't seen in almost 7 ...

Re: Is violence absent or not in Dragon Ball (franchise)?

DB/Z/GT was never really that violent, it's not Fist of the North Star or Berserk . When Freeza killed Dende's brother, that was probably the darkest, most disturbing thing in DB. It certainly wasn't the most violent but it was dark as hell. Violence and death don't mean much anymore when they can ...

Re: Universe 6 tournament combatants?

3. A super saiyan, who's strongest saiyan in U6, who combines SS with great ape. Vegeta dodges his all attacks effortlessly, and punches him out for the win after turning SSB.

And people were already complaining that this is a rip-off of Multiverse :P

At least we won't see something truly ...

Cipher wrote:Dr. Slump is on a different Earth. It even has a different god.
Not to mention that Arale performed Superman-level feats in Dr. Slump. She almost cracked the Earth in half with one punch and was able to move entire planets.

Re: Universe 6 tournament combatants?

The minute the official multiverse was revealed I thought about a "Goku who never lost his memory" existing in some other universe. Now that we know there will be saiyans in Champa's team I want this to happen. And this is why it should happen.

The saiyans in Universe 6 are not very likely to have ...

Re: DB super canon ?

To me only the story written by Akira Toriyama himself is canon. This includes: DB Minus  , Jaco The Galactic Patrolman, DB/DBZ manga, Battle of Gods, Revival of Freeza, the DB Super manga, and Neko Majin Z (despite its massive continuity-breaking plot holes).

Not really. Goku vs Oozaru Vegeta was much more brutal.

Re: Goku and Vegeta's Sexuality

Toriyama doesn't write romance, so taking that into consideration, my thoughts on the Uni 6 Team Champa female saiyans if his team really will have female saiyans on it:

Theory 2:
-in Uni 6, either Gokû or Vegeta (or both) are still saiyan, but were born female instead of male

It would be very ...

Re: Goku and Vegeta's Sexuality

Yeah yeah, a topic like this may makes some eyes roll, but we should all be capable of having an actual discussion about Goku and Vegeta's sexuality (well, some of us, at least 8) )

Goku:

Before his marriage to Chi Chi we get no indication that he's sexually interested in any girl, whatsoever ...
