Re: Hit vs Dyspo was the most strategic fight in the series?

I think you're going to be hardpressed to find a DB battle with as much of a thorough emphasis on tactics as the Hit vs Dyspo encounter. The gauntlet battle against Vegeta in the Saiyan arc placed some decent emphasis on teamwork and attritional warfare but it failed to really go anywhere afterwards...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

I bet Gohan doesn't appear at all. Toriyama doesn't really think much of Gohan as a character and hasn't really thrown him that much of a bone since Resurrection F. And even in that instance, Toriyama wrote Gohan in a scenerio where he couldn't transform into anything beyond SSJ and jobbed out to F...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

If Moro goes to Earth, I bet Gohan is going to lose to him if a fight happens on Earth. I bet Gohan doesn't appear at all. Re: Theories on Future Goku?

Maybe Goku had his later epiphany at this point, accepting his death as a conclusion to his own story and entrusting the fate of the world to his friends and son? I don't know. One obvious incentive for remaining in the afterlife would have been the prospect of travelling to the Grand Kai's world an...

Re: How strong do you think South kaioshin was?

South Kaioshin's power position is odd to figure out since you have an implication that he was powerful enough to warrant absorption yet on the other hand we clearly learn that no Kaioshin was able to remove the Z-Sword from its resting place. Gohan, as a Super Saiyan, accomplished it, though. Ordi...

Re: Could the Z fighters become as strong as they are now without meeting Beerus and Whis?

Without the understanding of those realms being imprinted by experiences with said Hakaishin and his angelic attendant, I'm not so sure. Goku and Vegeta could probably continue to improve from where they left off at the beginning of BoG but how far can they they go? I guess reaching Buu arc Vegetto'...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

With the battle between Moro and the Galactic Patrol likely heading to Earth, and with the interaction between Goku and Merus suggesting that technique is more important than power, I think they're setting up the Z fighters to be recruited by the Galactic Patrol and become relevant again. I'd love ...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

If Merus doesn't have an angelic background, I'm incredulous about that idea as well, then some kind of explanation would be appreciated as to how he grew so strong. I mean other fans have brought up a good point about how for decades the Galactic Patrol quivered whenever Freeza's name got brought u...

Re: Zalama/Zarama

Zarama seems like an "end of the cosmic chain" sort of entity. I would like to think that he's something of a mystical arcane equivalent to Zeno who is capable of undoing what the Omni-King erases. Who knows how he actually is, though. He may not even be an anthropomorphic fighting type, instead rel...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

I'm curious to know what Moro's plans are exactly. We know he's driven by the desire to consume worlds, but here in this chapter we also see him expressing an interest in his subordinates gathering resources for something he has planned. If it was to govern as a despot of the galaxy then consuming s...

Re: New info regarding evil Boo keeping magic powers

Buu's magic in this recent arc outside of the attempted yet unseen sealing technique strikes me as being more stimulative of existing actions rather than being a visually and mechanically arcane externalised force. I interpret it as having a lack of influence in the Buu arc in the much same way I fe...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

I find it interesting that Vegeta was able to discern the unperceivable internal nuances of Earth's fighters reading ki without devices and then copy it in the following arc but now apparently there's discussions as to whether it's just the same teleportation technique he's seen time and time again ...

Re: Was Vegeta's Majin Boost Nerfed?

Yeah, Vegeta's potential or at least the progression rate seems to be less than the rapid pace Goku seems to develop at. The Majin power increase demonstrated initiative on Vegeta's part which, while undignified and compromising in the Saiyan Prince's mind, gave him the necessary bolstering to put h...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

If creativity was the primary interest of magic's emphasis this arc then why not get Piccolo involved or have Dai Kaioshin put his in-depth understanding of creation to use by using material sorcery? I don't mean by creating geometrical Katchin alloy blocks to fling at Moro. Manipulate the physics o...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

What could Vegeta learn from the Yardratians that would give him an edge over Moro? I'm a little miffed at the fact that Toyotaro seems to be taking Vegeta in a direction that the character himself admits he doesn't like. Is it character development? Well I would sooner hope for other options to be ...

Re: Could The Entire Z-Senshi(Freeza & Broly too) Take On An Angel?

Ultimate Vegetto using a Kaioken x20 in conjunction with an Ultimate Gohaly (Broly + Gohan fusion) fighting Whis? I can't see how Whis would be able to stand up to a combination like that. Strong as he is, there's just too many resources on Universe 7's side for them to fail here. Let's also not for...

Re: Could SSJ3 Goku survive Vegeta's Final Explosion?

The two most memorable instances of a kamikaze manoeuvre besides this were Chaozu's failed attempt against Nappa and Semi-Perfect Cell's intention of destroying Earth. Did Goku eat a sensu before he teleported Cell away and subsequently died to Cell's explosion attack? I think Gohan instructed Trunk...

I apologise then. I've been attending this forum for almost four years now and there's still segments of it that I've either skimmed over without looking into or never looked at in much depth.

How would the characters have turned out if the training schools they were in were reversed?

By schools I'm referring to the Turtle and Crane disciplines from back in the classic Dragon Ball era. I'm wondering what kind of a difference the realignments could have had to the overarching plot if it had been Goku, Krillin, and Yamcha who were trained by the Crane Hermit while Tenshinhan and Ch...
