Re: Would you like to see Japan do a live-action DB feature?

Eh, not really. Call it nostalgia or bias or whatever, but Dragonball should always look like Toriyama's art. It's cartoony and deceptively simple, and live actors wouldn't capture it as well. I feel the same about all manga that go for a cartoon style (I wouldn't want a live action One Piece either ...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread

I feel like Goku obviously can't forfeit, because Zeno wants to be entertained.

Maybe he decides to take it easy and let Bergamo win, but the fight gets too hectic and Goku gets carried away.

Re: Super Animation Catalogue - [Updated with #32]

Because 90% of the fans gave up on Dragon Ball Super after ep 5.

Truth is, ep 5 almost killed the whole series. Uni 6 arc hasn't been able to recuperate that lost fandom yet, but let's hope the fights in the coming episodes are REALLY good. Only that way people are gonna regain interest in the ...

Re: Beerus telling Freeza to blow up Planet Vegeta

eh, I don't have a problem with it.

I don't know if og funimation dub vegeta instilled some romanticized view of the saiyans to the fanbase or what, but people tend to forget that the saiyans were like, the worst species in the galaxy. NOBODY liked them. They were savage, blood thirsty elitist ...

Re: Is this true ?

From the Daizenshuu 3 interview

— Were there any jobs you did directly for the “DB” anime?
Toriyama: In cases where characters appeared in the anime before they were shown in color in the manga, I sent a response to the animators at Toei through my editor. After that, I listened to the voice actor ...

Re: Cels vs. Digital Animation

To me seems like the Cels allow for better artwork but slower animation (exceptions for the really talented of course) and digital allows for not as great artwork but more movement (again, exceptions exist)

A few of the alternate universes in DB Multiverse gave me a chuckle.

Literally all others suck, and have since I've heard them since 8th grade.

Re: Fan Ideas you Hate

Yamcha was always a joke, it isn't like he has any glory days to return to.

As for series passing the torch, one of my favorite shounens of all time (jojo's Bizarre adventure) does this as it's main gimmicks and it's been very successful for the near 30 years of its publication. But it tackles the ...
