Re: Should Frieza have an heroic moment?
a villain who loses his cool in Dragon Ball is a villain whose significance to the plot begins to diminish (Cell is a complicated kinda-exception to this). Zamasu is the exception. He won when the last fraction of his sanity was gone. Unlike most villains, who lose when they can no longer keep thei...

Re: How will Vegeta overcome its limits?
To be honest in the preview I didn't think his hits were impacting Jiren at all. I mean dude is just standing there with Vegetas hand in his chest.
I'm wondering if Vegeta will get much at all aside from pushing himself really hard.

If he does it's because Vegeta is fighting Jiren....it doesn't make Gohan more important than Vegeta to the arc or story overall.Olympian wrote:Well, I`ll make the prediction he will outlast Vegeta.

Re: General Consensus on Zamasu's character?
you take this cartoon too seariously dont you think? Not really, it's just the average Dragon Ball fan is not accustomed to a complex, elaborate and unique character such as Zamasu. Zamasu is not Frieza. Zamasu is not Cell. Zamasu is not Buu. Zamasu is not <Insert any other villain in Dragon Ball>....

Re: What is the point of Universal Survival arc?
Seems like many people didn't get my point. I am not questioning why the tournament exists. I am asking why make a big deal about Universal erasure even though everybody knows it's all 'Much ado about nothing'. The tournament and new characters are ok, the fake tension and trying to put things at s...

Genius fighter in DB just means top tier with great battle instinct generally. In my opinion anyway...so I think Vegeta fits that bill.

Re: Has Vegeta been a good character as of recently? I think not.
I don't read that much shounen manga anymore, but I guess (I could be wrong) you're talking about Sasuke from Naruto who was gone for what I think were many volumes of the manga at a time? Again I don't know because I dropped off of Naruto pretty early on and only vaguely know what happens after th...

Re: What is the problem with Goku using Super Saiyan God in the anime?
The anime doesn't continue from BoG and RoF. The anime continues from its own retellings of BoG and RoF. Which, necessarily, overwrite the cinematic counterparts of these sagas. Also you pulled that stuff about "powering up all modes" right outta your butt. If Goku can still go SSj God, t...

Re: If Toei hadn't requested the Future Trunks arc?
It's kinda funny that both the original manga and Super arcs featuring Trunks was an overall result of other people giving Toriyama suggestions. In the end both arcs had there moments, Zamasu was a stronger Villain than Cell in the end imo though. I'd disagree. I honestly found Zamasu to be a reall...

Re: So what is the consensus on Jiren as a character?
At this point, Jiren is quite possibly the single worst antagonist of any arc in Dragon Ball. If you want your protagonist to be memorable, you either have to A) give them a compelling personality or a sympathetic backstory, or B) show them pulling off intimidating and impressive feats with fun and...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
But that wasn't him personally struggling so much as his own teammate more or less screwing him. And Vegeta 'struggled' with Super Saiyan. He has at least two transformations he could have used to stomped them. Hence fans accusing Super of 'fake tension'. And 'Katopesla was way better thans 17's', ...

Re: Final 10 fighters
Well it seems we have our answer; 1. Goku 2. Gohan 3. Vegeta 4. Frieza 5. #18 6. #17 7. Aniraza 8. Dyspo 9. Toppo 10. Jiren What if Aniraza counts as 3 or 4 fighters in one, like Kefla counted as 2? :problem: Kefla is the fusion of two characters; a single being produced as a result of fusion Anira...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
What about when Vegeta was about to get eliminated by Frost? Hell he had legit struggles with certain Fodder like BotaMagetta and the universe 9 ice guy. Plus his fight with Katopesla was way better thans 17's. As for 17, Damon lands one good attack on him, after that he's straight up fodderized. A...

What if Goku accidently kills Jiren and is eliminated even though he's technically the last standing giving Jiren the win.

Re: Would it be better, if in the manga, Toyo knocks out all of the fodder including from U7 in one chapter.
That would definitely not be better, as it'd in a way invalidate having ten contestants per universe to begin with. Why do that when you're just gonna throw them away? A better choice is to instead increase the amount of fights going on at once. While the "main" Universe 7 battles are hap...

Re: Super Episode 120 (17 December 2017)
I think I'll skip this episode entirely. I still don't understand why basic looking robots are able to even keep up with this level of power and I doubt they'll explain why the robots are so strong. I think you'd need some advanced looking stuff, not basic mechanical hulks to fight gods and the lik...

Re: Theories & Ideas On The Origin of Zen'ō
My hope is that Zeno is just one rung in an infinite hierarchy of weird gods, most of whom we never get to see, with a system that goes so far up even most of the gods themselves don't know who's at the top. Give us a scene after the tournament where a god above Zeno arrives, after everyone else ha...

Jiren actually fights from the start.
Dyspo: Breakdances at breakneck speeds.
Other Pride Troopers: Sit down to a casual picnic. Uh oh is there a Damon in their food?
Jiren: Gives a damn.
